I do not have AC in my vehicle and my car sits out in the sun all day long while I’m at work. This has saved me on the way home, definitely keeps out the heat and shades as much as it can. Set up and take down is fast and efficient, takes up little to no room to store in my car.

It is a addition to the cat accessories that I have to carry in it. But worth. As I have to often park in the sun inevitable, this saves the dashboard and the car. Inwould recommend for all..

The stem broke away from the umbrella part after a month. Very cheap and flimsy.

The product does fit a majority of my windshield and blocks the sun great. The product does come in a small case and its a bit girthy and doesn't want to be protected. To shrink the girth of the product it comes with a black Velcro lanyard which helps shrinks it, but the girth is to great for the casing.

Once you get used to setting it up and it only takes like a minute. It works very well I definitely can feel the difference getting into my SUV with it up VS not using it. It is a little flimsy so you need to be a little careful putting it up and taking it down. I have only had it for a month so I can't speak on it's durability but so for so good

So, the idea of a little umbrella to open up as a sunshade was in my opinion a great idea. However, this wasn't what I had in mind.The actually umbrella action is very basic. I thought it would be like a regular folding umbrella where you can just hit the button and it opens up. But rather, you hit the button and have to slide it open until it clicks, and when it's time to put it away you click the button to unlatch it and then pull the umbrella shut. I guess I was expecting some spring action.The fit was not good at all. Amazon told me that it would fit my vehicle, but it was a little too big. So it doesn't look flat like the pictures in the product description. That's actually not that much of a problem because there was still a way to lodge it in there and use the vehicle's sun visors to keep it in place, but it looks ugly. And then, the umbrella spires started to jam and a few of them are broken. Also, the material separated from a few of the spires too and there's no real way to reattach them.So, this umbrella sun shade still works, but at this point it's pretty ugly. Luckily, my vehicle is kinda ugly too so maybe they're a match. But I would not buy this again. Not sure if I would even try buying a similar product. That's how unimpressed I am by this one.

My recent experience with the 2023 newest car umbrella sun shade left me feeling incredibly disappointed. After seeing one in use on another car and noticing how perfectly it fit, I was excited about the prospect of investing in one for my mini van.However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to frustration when I received the product and attempted to install it. The product simply did not fit as indicated, and it became clear that I should have read the reviews before making the purchase. Please update your description to reflect proper fitment.The mismatch between the advertised fit and the actual compatibility with my mini van was not only aggravating but also a waste of time and money. Given the significant discrepancy, I will return the car umbrella and seek an alternative solution to protect my vehicle from the sun.This experience serves as a reminder of the importance of thoroughly researching and reading reviews before making a purchase. Review is for a 2012 E Class Mercedes. I used to have another sun visor that reflected the heat very well, so I feel I am able to critique this one.Deploying this is awkward to say the least. If you have anything installed on the windshield, like a car camera, or phone mount, it just does not work. It is too awkward to try and slip it over or under the contraption and the "umbrella" rods slip out easily from the material. I had to remove my camera to make it work and cover the windshield tightly.After 4 hours in the Texas sun with outside temps around 86F, I got in the car and instantly flinched when I touched the steering wheel. It was scorching hot as without the shade. The cabin was also hot as usual.Removing the shade was equally awkward because it does not collapse nicely like an umbrella. It becomes a mangled mess, and again the rods slip out easily. Having a short lunch, I ended up tossing the mess on the passenger floor to deal with it later.Needless to say, I will be returning it once I can sort it out and put it back in the original form... 🙄UPDATE: I was never able to put it back into its original collapsed form and after a coworker tried to help me, we ended up shoving it into the sheath haphazardly, because it just would not behave. It was like a whack-a-mole, when we folded one section properly, the next one fell apart... frustrating. We had many laughs, but that was really the only positive thing about this product.

This folds up compact jus like an umbrella and is quick and easy to open. It covers my window nicely, but is a little too big for my window. The sides hang off the edges and leaves a gap. It does seem to keep my car cooler.
