People...No need to cut off the existing connector. De-pin the wires/terminals from the old connector, keeping track of which wire goes to which position. De-pin the new connector. Re-pin the new connector with the existing wires/terminals.

Son's pedal position plug crumbled and found this as a replacement, it plugged in with no issues used a few barrel connectors and heat shrink to keep water out was finished in about 10 minutes

You will need a soldering gun to solder wires to the oem wiring. Item works great.
