The idle speed screw was loose out of the box and just wouldn't tighten. When in use the screw would spin itself out causing the truck to not run.

Initially hopeful after I found these available on Amazon for less than half the price of an OEM carb assembly. After installing carb on my Jato 3.3, had issues with idle adjustment. When Inspecting, found throttle would not slide completely into the closed position, and would bind. This caused an excessively high idle on the car. Along with the fact this was a plastic throttle slide, compared to the OEM metal. In the end, I ordered an OEM replacement carb body and swapped out the internals of the carb. Would not recommend.

If you just want to prove that your engine runs, this carb will do its job. The throttle ball horn is plastic and easy to break. The fuel inlet barb is easy to break. The o-rings are larger than the originals and won’t fit properly. The idle screw does absolutely NOTHING. I’ve had two of them, one was a replacement for the first one after I thought the idle circuit was just defective. Nope. This causes the idle to be stuck at too high of an RPM and it will burn your clutch up. Save your money and grab an actual Traxxas unit for a few bucks more. This unit is a scam.

I put it on and the 3.3 fired right up with no initial adjustments. After a couple minutes the plastic throttle ball mount cracked and fell off. Luckily, the old metal one from the bad traxxas carb fit and fixed the problem. So far so good.
