Have had these for about a month now in a 2008 LMM Duramax.They seem to be equal to OEM performance.I had the expensive Napa long travel CVs for awhile and they broke just turning into a parking lot. They would lock up really bad in just a half turn.These budget CVs actually don't lock up until you're close to a full turn, which is similar to OEM.Time will tell if they'll last or not.

I purchased these to replace the original ones that lasted 177k on them until the boots started to tear. I felt confident in the brand until i ordered these. I must say what a waste of money. The first pair I ordered started slinging grease and binding on me the first 50 miles of use I didn't even realize they were bad until I had my truck lifted ready to replace the front end and ordered a new pair. Those came in with the back plate completely separated. Cardone use to be a trusted brand and I don't know what happened, but the quality just isn't there anymore.

the first one fit my truck perfect have not had a chance to install second one the true test will be in a year from now if the boots haven't split it will be awesome. the negative is that they won't take a PO Box and it turns into a nightmare for delivery in a rural area

Replaced factory shaft with this one and am pleased with the appearance and function, it works as it should. In the past, I have installed other brand new shafts only to hear a noise like squeaking, not with this unit. I am speaking of a 2500HD with heavy plow package on the front end so a little higher than typical increasing the angle at the joints slightly. I have not driven a lot of miles but with the shafts that gave me an issue in the past, it expressed itself right away. These seem to be a solid choice. Axle nut has captive washer also which I like and it is the same size as the factory one.

I replaced both factory shafts on my 2008 Chevy 2500HD at 147,xxx miles early 2018. One factory one had the clamp work loose and was slinging grease out. I plow about 10 driveways over winter and replaced both right away as I'm sure the other wasn't far behind. Besides, you kind of need these to work when you need four wheel drive plowing. After 5 months and about 6000 miles of heavy use they are holding up well with no signs of any defect, which I would expect as Cardone is my go-to choice for CV shaft replacements. I will update if they fail.
