Rivets were steel which is good.When rivets are Aluminum then more chance of coming loose or breaking.Will need a strong grip & a few times to get rivet to break off.Directions didn't say Steel rivets which would've been nice.They also had the best price!

Carefree of Colorado ( aka Fiesta) Model BN3N4, this is an exact replacement, with one exception, quality is 10 times better the OEM Plastic model that has failed/broke, for your Manual Awning. I would recommend having/buying an Arrow Heavy Duty Riveter Kit, Professional Pop Rivet Gun. Just make sure to use an 11/64" Drill bit or 1 larger to drill out the existing rivet, once out, clean out the old rivet matter, line the new handle in position, and will probably take at least 3 pulls on the Rivet Gun to seat and install the new Rivet. You can't help but to be impressed with such an UPGRADE and Quality Handle. A+++++ Product, Highly Recommend to replace as the original lift handle breaks, mine lasted 19 years, this seems like it will last longer than the life I will be using this RV.
