We used this bag in an open pickup truck bed, along side two bikes, for our vacation. It was stuffed full of golf club bags, duffles, pillows, etc. We encountered 3 fairly heavy rain storms during our travels, and there was no evidence of water inside the bag.

Worked well for our family. Fit on a smaller than average cargo carrier we got from Walmart. Our belongings stayed dry driving through mountains/clouds and in heavy rain for a little over an hour. Note it does not have a frame for the bag and is a vaguely shaped/floppy bag when empty, but it works fine and this makes it easier to fold and store when not in use. The buckles/straps were annoying to cinch down each stop when we unloaded/reloaded our belongings. But they held everything secure and were all that we needed to secure the full bag to our cargo carrier. No extra bungee cords were needed. Though I included a photo of our setup, note this review was just for the bag with straps. The metal cargo carrier that attached to our trailer hitch was a separate purchase.

I did cut a piece of carpet to lay in the bag to ensure that nothing cuts through it. Fits perfect in my 60x20. Just have to add to this review that when I used it for the past 2 weeks I couldn't be more impressed for the price and quality. I traveled about 140 kilometres in the rain and this cargo bag is designed to keep stuff dry. Totally impressed

Amazing! Drove across the US... 3500+ miles...got caught in torrential rains, a wicked storm in SD, and not a single drop of moisture penetrated the bag. I highly recommend this cargo bag.When using, I found it fit best in the rack and held it's shape when a (loaded) box was placed on either end, that fit and formed to the bag size/shape. We got a lot of stuff in this cargo bag. Used in conjunction with a hitch cargo rack that was as long as the bag, but deeper and that gave us the ability to also add two bmx bikes to the rack.

This is a very good quality bag. It is waterproof as long as the zippers are covered by the flap. We drove through a thunderstorm and everything was completely dry. Fits great with the cargo carrier 63153. The height is good for Honda pilot as you can clearly see the license plate and tail light

Good solid bag, needs some hard plastic like cutting board material to make the sides and bottom more rigid. We used cardboard with OK results. I used it to carry firewood on the back of my camper. Only had a slight leak at where the zippers touch eachother. I think you could minimize this by making sure the zippers are all the way to one side or the other. It's not perfectly waterproof some velcro on the zipper flap would probably help as well. But even on the back of a camper through a driving rain only enough water made it it to slightly dampen the cardboard we used as support for the bag.

I don't expect it to last many camping trips, given how cheap and "plasticized" it feels. It zips shut, I guess that's good. But it looks like its ready to burst when packed normally, and the threading is already starting to fray after a single trip with it in the hitch carrier. We were careful too, it was just too cheap - next time I guess.

ok - I read review after review about cargo carrier bags. I settled on this one. I won't write a review unless i really believe in it. We packed up for vacation on spring break. This thing was loaded. We have a big family. We bought 2 plastic containers to hold up the sides. It is not a standing box, the sides to collapse. The 2 bins worked perfectly and a fishing tackle box could go in the middle. One bin was slightly larger than the other. I was also worried about things getting wet as we have had these types of things before.We went through the most torrential downpour I have every experienced for hours!! I was sure this was going to be wet on the inside. When we got to our destination, we were anxious to see.....NOTHING WAS WET - NOT EVEN A DROP. I am impressed!!!

Used it as it was designed on a game rack for a long trip to store stuff I didn't want in the vehicle. It easily fit one large piece of luggage and two roller bags in it, with room to spare. It is well made with no complaints about the materials or quality of fasteners,straps, zippers, etc. It is water proof like it says, I drove with it in a massive storm for many hours with no water problems. The only down side to a soft bag like this is security, but hey there are jerk off thieves all over that might just take the whole rack, so I used a pad lock between the zippers for short stops but had to take it all the way off for longer stops.
