Your cart is empty. If you've never tried a circular hoe hand weeder and cultivator, you are in for a treat. Makes weeding by hand much easier as you use the pointed end to drag at ground level and cut off weeds at the roots. Super strong solid steel shank and blade with beech hardwood handle. Circle shape of the hoe with sharpened edge lets you pull the tool through the soil to cut weeds and loosen the soil without making a big mess or creating piles of dirt. Edge is sharp on the bottom only, so it cuts roots under the ground. All other edges are rounded, so it won't hurt nearby plants that you want to keep.

This is hands down my new favorite garden tool. I have two large raised vegetable beds and several flower beds and this will cut weeds right out without any harm to the nearby plants. It's very sturdy, and the wood handle has a nice smooth polish and comfortable curve.

This was going to be a gift. However, this product is not at all the quality of my previously purchased and currently owned "circle hoe". (Which I had bought personally at a local garden store, which is very difficult to find now in the marketplace.)It appears that this product was "cast" without the intended "sharp" edge within the "casting" process. This seems to have been processed by employing a "cheap" casting method followed with a "grinding" of the appropriate edge. Thus, leaving multiple "nooks and crannies" on the edge itself which will surely end in user injury if not attentive care is taken during usage. Sad, Sad, Sad.Be apprised of this during your "shopping" for this product. Again, not what I had expected.

Just got this, so can't attest to long term quality, but this tool seems very sturdy and well made. Handle is very comfortable and the overall length is good for working in large pots, small raised beds or down on your hands a knees. Arrived quickly, as promised.

Sensible length handle. Best used on dry soil, tends to clog if too wet.

I was looking for a hand held hula hoe. This thing looked like it might work. When I got it I was totally stunned at how strong it was. It's heavy and really well made, thick steel. The inside edge is beveled to a degree of sharpness, you know, for a hoe. Works like a charm. Easy to get in and around plants and get out weeds that would have been a real pain with any larger hoe. Love this thing.

I bought one of these after seeing my sister's. I like the way it moves through the dirt without mounding it up like a hand rake does.I just used it to weed the raspberries. We have an infestation of horsetail in there. From what I can find, unless I want nuclear winter on that section of the farm, the best way to get rid of it is to disturb the roots repeatedly. The length of the rod between the handle and the circle let me get down far enough to bust up the roots. I bumped a couple of raspberry roots, but I didn't tear them up like I would have with a hand rake. The wooden handle is comfortable to grip. It has a pretty good reach too. I've only had it a month or so, but I'm really happy with it so far! I may add a longer strap for hanging in the tool shed.

Although I've grown container plants for years, this was my first attempt at a full garden plot. All my new garden neighbors warned me that I'll spend more time with weeds than with the plants, so I researched and settled on this. It seemed a little like a splurge given I wasn't sure how good the garden would grow, but I'm so glad I did! Its so super simple to use, and very effective. I have been able to get around all the plants easily as well as do larger areas that I never planted or planted late. Its like cutting through butter in turned over soil, but will take more work in the harder packed stuff, so I'll probably be on the search soon for something a bit longer and tougher for that job.

This is the only tool on the market that I could find, suitable for the purpose of weeding between narrow rows. It’s very gentle, the round blade ensures nothing sticking out to harm closely planted crops. I use a pull motion to deal with the weeds, then push to cover them up. Amazing. No build up of soil as you work. Love the quality components used to make it, with a hardwood handle, leather loop for hanging, and not to forget, a little carrot pic burned into the handle!

The size of this weeding tool is right on! It allows one to get close to the landscaping plants without harming them A hoe or a Hula hoe would be too large to get in between the plants. The tool is tough, durable and yet lite weight. I changed mine to a long handled tool by taking of the short handle, drilling a hole in a long handle, applying Gorilla Glue to the metal stem of the Carrot tool and inserting the stem into the hole of the long handle! Voila! A long-handled Carrot is born! My friend and I are working on a prototype which would piece together three or 4 wooden sections to make a 53-56 inch long wooden handle. I was told shipping long-handled tools was a problem. That is the reason for working on a solution. At any rate, the Carrot is a PERFECT weeding tool and well-deserving of 5 stars. Sorry, I am forgetting those gardeners who use a bench or pad for the knees. For you, it will soon be your favorite tool. You will find yourself looking for excuses to go outside in your garden and use your "Carrot". It is that easy and that much fun to use. Its length at just under 15 inches is just right to work an area around you. Stand up, take a breather, move your bench/pad and start a new area. The item is sharp, yet tough. The handle is just right for the hand. It will last a lifetime, if you do not lose it. I suggest you thread a bright-colored ribbon to the handle to easily locate this unique little tool.

I was a little doubtful about ordering this item but am completely converted. I put it to good use as soon as it arrived weeding amongst my garlic: I find weeding my alliums difficult with an ordinary hoe as they often injure the swelling bulb or surface roots and it is time consuming with a hand fork. This was just what I wanted and I am thrilled. Now, where can I buy one with a long handle?
