Overall I love this release. It is easy to hook to my D loop without looking. The trigger is excellent and adjustable. I can shoot laser beams with this release. It's that good. I have absolute faith in Carter releases. I also own a Wise Choice thumb release. My only issue is that the elastic that resets the hook broke after a year or so. It can still be closed manually but when you're used to having it reset itself you can forget to do it manually. I know I did a few times lol. I was able to replace the elastic several times. I purchased mine in 2008 so it has seen a lot of use. Also I live in the Pacific Northwest where my release tends to get wet. This may have caused some weakening of the elastic due to the rubber becoming rotted. That being said, I am going to buy two more. One for each of my sons. Heck, I might just treat myself to another one and relegate my first Quickie to backup status. C. Callahan

I be had carter releases in the past and I always though highly of them. This is a very well built release but the wrist band and the strap are beneath garbage level. The wrist band is big enough to wrap around my ankle and yet it keeps stretching, and good luck finding the release trigger dangling on this cheap flimsy band that keeps sliding looser at the tensioner. I’m a pretty laid-back and patient archer but this is making me angry because it’s a darn good release bug I can’t get it to work for me.

Own multiple Carter releases. Switched to the Quickie 1 Plus from a Scott index finger for hunting. Better trigger, cleaner break. Another Awesome release from Carter. Will never own anything else going forward except Carter Enterprise releases.

I'm not sure why I am the first to review this release but hopefully I won't be the last. If you don't own one of these you should. This release is smooth as silk and can be set up a few ways. Right now mine is set with the lighter spring set which gives this bad larry a hair trigger like not other, sometimes it feels like I just think of hitting it and my arrow is gone. Also another personal preference but I prefer the hook style v. the caliper style, very easy to set without having to look down you can do it all by feel. Lightweight and very adjustable, good quality leather and stitching to hold it all together, plus a metal buckle that I know won't break or wear out quick like some lesser ones. The only thing some of you might not like, I speak to the hunters, is the metallic click when you reset, I personally find it easily muffled and really not loud enough spook anything so far. Buy one, it will be the last one you ever buy.**Update 20160816**Two years later and still going strong, I stand by my original review 100%. Just thought I'd "swing by" and give an update for those that might question long term durability.
