Therefore, haven’t used it yet as I don’t have a pan to fit it. It’s a shame. Looks like such a great item and comes highly recommended from Crazy Russian Hacker on YouTube. If you don’t know who that is look him up. He has basically made his living on reviewing kitchen items and other things for around the house. also has a review on this item, which includes comparisons to other similar egg boiler items.

This is an awesome gadget. The only downfall for us is that when it says hardboiled, it is still slightly underdone for our taste but should be perfect for "normal" people.

The instructions say start the eggs out in cold water; this causes the thin membrane between egg and shell to stick to the egg and makes peeling frustratingly difficult. The cool-down system is totally inadequate; the only way to stop eggs cooking quickly is to plunge them into ice water. The timer is cute but useless. This egg boiler's only value is that it does boil the eggs evenly.

The egg timer is a nice touch that helps out quite a bit with knowing how long the eggs should boil. It also makes a nice basket for handling the eggs in and out of the water and keeping them from bouncing around the pot while boiling. Unfortunately the water cooling is very inadequate. Unless your eggs are sized perfectly, the water just dribbles down the underside of the eggs. That won't cool the eggs quick enough to stop the cooking process.

I can't tell you enough how amazing this product is! As a mother of a little one I'm always looking for ways to input more healthy proteins into my daughter's diet. Hard boiled eggs seem simple enough, but in order to insure a properly cooked egg with a shell that comes off easily you must drop raw eggs into boiling water - then guess how long you need to cook them - then when done you must rapidly cool them to esure the shell comes off clean. With this product all you do is drop the eggs in their slots, drop them in the boiling water, wait for the timer to tell you how "done" they are, and then put them in the sink to run cold water over them to rapidly cool them. Now all I have to do is boil 6 eggs once or twice a week and we have a quick breakfast or lunch staple or even for a nice salad at dinner time ready in the fridge. Such a neat product!
