Hello, I wanted to re-configure my Pelican 1520 case for handguns (but still keeping the original foam for camera lenses). I thought this foam seemed a bit expensive, but Pelican wanted $84.95 for new pluck foam, (and they’re out of stock), so then it didn’t seem like a bad deal.. First off, this fits perfectly in the case. Secondly, the planning that went into making the case adaptable to fit most any gun is extraordinary. LOTS of options that make sure you can carry most any handgun (although my S&W .357 magnum is too big and won’t fit, but it’s more of a show piece anyway). The foam is much more rigid than the factory foam, so I have to believe it it’s much more secure holding guns in travel. It comes with a QR code that links to a YouTube video on how to configure the foam. I thought that was a bit silly at first, but it’s very informative and immensely helpful and easy to understand. Very pleased with the purchase and I would recommend.

I loved the first one so much I bought another for a 2nd Pelican 1520 Case! Each foam piece fits 21 magazines for 6 pistols, it holds thin Ruger Mark III magazines to thick Springfield XD45 magazines. For guns its holds onto a small Glock 43 to a large Canik TP9SFX, and 1911 pistols with extra wide wooden grips. It took some modifying to fit my Ruger GP100 with a 6inch barrel but that’s only because it’s an 11.5inch long gun. The magazine cutouts even hold onto a revolver speedloader if it’s loaded. I am very impressed and have had a ton of compliments on these foam cutouts. When transporting there is no rattle or shake because the foam holds onto the finger-well of the gun along with the handle and barrel.

Received the foam today and discovered that’s was glued wrong.Caseclub has admitted that it’s glued wrong but they won’t send an replacement!

Not sure what the less than 5 star review are about but it’s perfect. And can always slide different inserts to accommodate to your liking. The magazine skits are awesome!

Easy to remove the pre-cut internal pieces, nice modularity in that you can place additional pieces of cut-to-your-liking foam, snug fit in my Pelican 1520. Easily reconfigurable if so desired, but if that is the plan remove the original foam pieces carefully as to not damage them. One negative - the convoluted top foam was much softer in my set than the larger hard-cell foam for the case. Might be a positive for others.The 5 main compartments easily took my long slides, and configured nicely for compacts as well. The 6th compartment is slightly more widely cut which will easily accommodate a large-cylinder, 6-inch wheel gun. Lots of configurable magazine slots for single or double stacks.I would recommend this upgrade to any Pelican 1520, as it is much more secure than double-stacking multiple pistols between layers of foam.It would be really nice if the manufacturer would offer a color option for the top layer in this configuration.
