Your cart is empty.The Cast Iron poffertjes plate makes 15 Dutch poffertjes (mini-pancakes) at a time. The pan is manufactured from cast iron that allows for optimum heat conduction so that your poffertjes can cook quickly. The enamel layer on the bottom allows for the plate to be suitable for all heat sources. The poffertjes plate can also be used in the oven for other dishes such as escargot. The cast iron pan is dishwasher safe and is also very stable!

This does the job and works as intended but it's just not practical. A box of Poffertjes mix makes dozens of them and the small size of this pan means that you have to keep greasing, pouring, flipping, and pulling them and then doing it all over again. We ended up throwing away half the mix because we got tired of the process and wish we had a bigger pan. Since the Poffertjes are so small, the size is really only big enough for 1-2 people. Feeding a family or having company over to try something new really requires a bigger pan.

This pan worked very well once I dialed in the temperature on my stove. As long as you use melted butter/cooking oil before every batch sticking was not an issue, and it cooked fairly evenly on my electric stovetop, which definitely has hotspots.Only the bottom of the pan is enameled, and the cast iron top appeared to be raw when received. I didn't mind this, but do expect to have to season the cast iron before use.Also, despite what the description says, this pan is definitely not dishwasher safe since it is not fully enameled.
