With three cats of varying activity levels, I thought this might help the more hyper of the three. She apparently thinks she is above using the wheel and not even catnip would entice her. She did briefly try to lay claim to it since she thinks she runs the house. But we stopped that behavior. Her lazy brother likes to lie inside of it. The other cat LOVES it. She's always been the bravest of the three and it didn't take much prodding to get her inside (once we kept the hyper one away so she could go inside it).It is a bit intimidating when the massive box arrives and there are a lot of parts. Assembled, it is large. But the cats need the exercise/stimulation, so it's worth it. It wasn't difficult to put together, just time-consuming. It appears to be sturdy and has even survived a few of the zoomies the cats have performed since it's been assembled.I'm crossing my fingers the lazy one will use it more actively, but at least one of them likes it.

The cats love this. It was easy to set up and the cats are constantly jumping on it. It keeps them entertained for hours.

I was so excited to receive this cat wheel that I skipped what I should have been working on to put it together. I am writing a review now as I feel focusing on getting it together is half the battle of these, with the other half convincing the cat it's fun! Overall I'd rate this a 4 if there were NO issues, there was need for some improvements but it works as intended.Get your own screwdriver, while I was excited this came with one, all it did was flake those comfy black grips EVERYWHERE. It took me forever to figure out what's all over things and then realized where they were from. And it was turning my hand black a bit by the end.I love putting things together and this might be the first time I got everything out and counted. Many screws and such come with extras. No odors. I received 2 pieces of C and was missing C1. This was not an issue as C is for the locking mechanism and now I can just put it on either side, so don't panic if this happens to you. The most frustrating thing about the pieces is some are labeled, but others are not (my C's were not) so it's comparing the pic occasionally. I don't understand why not just label them all with a sticker? So I went ahead and put it together. I used the padded foam from the bottom of the box as a floor protector. Other than how to install the pieces with all the wheel mechanisms to the base, I found them easy to follow. That took me a few minutes to figure out what they needed (up, all wheels face up) and a little up arrow could have helped. I suggest*Assembling the wheel first, it's more frustrating and if you are like me, sometimes it's best to get that out of the way first.*Putting screws in the 2 end slots, secure them not quite tight, then put this on the floor and do the rest. So when you turn it over, it's gently held together.*Doing all of your secure tightening once the wheel is on the base, you can spin it easy and I felt it just fell into place better. Also, don't go crazy perfectionist like I did ensuring the 3 wheel pieces were exactly perfectly aligned, a teenie tiny misalign (like my fingernail hit it, but less than probably .5mm).**see note below*Finally, do the velcro when you have patience, it is super sticky so get it right the first time.I never used the gloves nor the sandpaper. I got a cut but I honestly think it was from the instructions! And the carpet has a few pulls in it already, which is disappointing that it is getting pulls and that it came like this. I also never figured out what the circle thing was for (S)... sandpaper for rough spots, maybe? The locking mechanism doesn't fit like the pic on the page, but seems to work. Overall, it runs smooth until it hits the area of **note (below) and looks nicer than I expected.**Note: I was on the LAST piece and just a few screws, I noticed that one of my D6 had the nut out of the hole. I lined it up the best I could but I spent a good 15+ minutes trying to figure this out. I couldn't hammer it in, pull it out, and had to play around with the 4 K screws and the outside L screws to get the side aligned. I'm still not happy with it and, of course, I already put the velcro on as I left these spots to tighten after it was on the base to get it all to fall into place better. It worked until I got to this and unfortunately bumps when it gets to this as it's quite unaligned, so my cats can't use it. I contacted the customer service email 2 or 3 times that was listed in the instructions (naviconvex) almost 4 weeks ago (first week of May, it's now June) with NO answer about this and the carpet having frays and pulls. There's no way to contact the seller on Amazon, I tried a few different ways. Amazon customer service can only do a return, which is far from "easy" as they won't take it assembled. So stuck with a cat wheel with a broken part until I feel like disassembling it to return... NOT excited about doing it as I don't know how to fix it, nor believe I should have to fix a manufacturing issue. For this alone, I would not recommend it unless you thoroughly examine each piece (I only counted and glanced at the pieces). If customer service responded and fixed the issue, I'd rate it 4 assuming it spun well and held up. But I can't get it to spin smoothly to test if it will hold up.

My hyper cat actually likes it. I wasn't sure if this was something she would like as some cat toys have great reviews and everyone says my cat love it and mine just sits and stares at it. So upon opening the box its a bit intimidating, there is a lot of screws and putting together, I gave this task to my husband. Great project for watching tv and putting together.Once done we found a spot by our backdoor, kitty has nice views while getting a little work out. She wasn't sure at first but some catnip helped out a bit. Once adjusted she did a little walk, it moved she ran, than would come back rinse and repeat but now she is really liking her new wheel. Its nicely made, carpet inside and doesn't wobble or make you feel like the wheel would fall. We have ours on tile.

My cat loved it. She hoped right on and away she went. The wheel is a bit bulky but that makes it very sturdy. Worth the money.

My cats love it. They were of course not sure what the wheel was for at first. Just play with them use a wond with a sparkly piece on the end or a tiny toy they like on the end to catch their attention then they start walking to eventually running on their own.

Carefully followed instructions but parts rub together that make it non-functioning. Also assembly is an absolute nightmare

This exercise wheel is a large one. The box was fairly heavy for my wife to move around when we received it... but she managed (way to go!) There are ALOT of parts, so it took me a couple hours to assemble it. I took my time, and it was easy to build. All the materials used to construct this wheel are very solid and should withstand the abuse that our nine furry family members will put it through. All of our cats are indoor 10% and outdoor 90%, so getting them to use the wheel is a challenge. They all tend to chase each other outside and when they come inside its usually just for food or to get a catnap without being disturbed by one of the other cats. I have been able to get a couple of them to chase a laser pointer on the wheel for about a minute but that is all. Currently, the wheel gets more attention from company that visits the house... They are amazed that there is even a thing as a "cat exercise wheel".I have noticed that a couple of our cats like to sleep in the wheel... then they go outside and run around, I guess they have to start somewhere.Maybe our cats are just like us... get a new piece of exercise equipment, try it out a little, then use it to hang clothes over it.All-in-all, it's a very well-built, quality constructed exercise wheel and is a great piece to have for cats that spend the majority of their time indoors.
