I bought this because I saw a cat at my vet's office wearing something similar. When asked if it worked, they said it does. So when I found out my cat was going to have surgery, I searched and found this. While I'm not sure if its the same one that person bought, I went ahead and bought this. I found that compared to the typical cone, this was so much easier to put on and take off my cat when I need to. We have a cat that will go to the bathroom outside like our dogs but will use the doggy door. With this cone, they were able to go in and out of it with no problems. They were even able to eat and drink water without having any complications. While they did get it dirty when eating their soft food, I found I was able to wash, dry it and put it back on them with no problems. While my cat no longer needs this, I just found out my other cat is going to have surgery too so this will be used again.

I do a lot of animal rescue and TNR's. These collars come in handy. Let's face it, no cat wants to wear one. But if you are looking for an alternative to the ultra expensive hard plastic cones of shame from your vet, give this a try. It seems to be much more comfortable for these wee little furry ones.

My puppy recently got neutered and the doctor had given him a cone to wear. We thought that might work best for him so we kept it on him for a while. But as the evening progressed he went crazy because he hated that hard cone. So we switched the cone out for this recovery collar and he liked it! He quieted down immediately and slept through the night in his crate. In the morning, he was able to eat and drink water and pee on his pee pad with this soft collar. He has not fussed with this soft collar on. It is a life saver...and has kept my pup from stressing while he is recovering. The adjustable collar (Small size) fits his little neck securely (he is a 3 lb chihuahua). I was worried about the extra string (from the adjustable part of the collar) catching on something and potentially choking him but I tied a few knots to keep it from swinging around loosely. So far he has not been able to lick his wound with this collar so I'm going to say its WORKS!

Our little kittens are now home from their surgeries. We are being very protective of them and their surgical areas. I put this soft adjustable cone on one of them and she doesn't seem to mind it. It is lightly padded with something very nice and soft and actually makes a nice little pillow when she is sleeping. I got the pretty pink color and it looks cute and is doing what it should to keep her protected from scratching or licking herself. Before the kittens came home, I put it on our little Shih Tzu and at first she fussed, then she didn't want to let me take it off. This is a good product and is made of nice quality materials. The adjustable drawstring makes it a really good fit for kittens and puppies and small dogs.

I ordered this recovery collar for my Pomeranian, who recently underwent a laparoscopic spay. She was supposed to wear a cone for at least 10 days, but none of the e-collars I tried would stay on her tiny head, or they simply couldn't withstand her attempts to remove them. Even the vet gave up on finding a solution. I thought this collar might work since it's soft and designed for use on cats. Unfortunately, by the time it arrived, she no longer needed it.However, I really appreciated most of this collar's features. It's lightweight and waterproof, and when I tried it on her, it effectively prevented my little Pom from reaching her incision sites. I'm not sure when she will need it again, but I'm definitely going to keep it for future use.This is a great cat collar and really, really good for dogs with small heads.

Our kitten just got spayed 5 days ago, so she obviously had to have a cone afterward. We got this figuring it would be more comfortable than the vet-provided one she came back with. We were right, this was definitely less uncomfortable for her. The drawback- it didn't stop her from getting to her incision at all. We tried adjusting it, no luck. Based on that, I can't say I would recommend this item.

My cat has an eye issue and she will try to paw at her eye as a result. This soft cone is great at stopping that while still being soft enough for her to comfortably lay down. She is about 7lbs and the medium is honestly too big, so I would recommend a small for most cats (I even measured her neck and ordered based on the size chart, def go with the small unless your cat is big). It is machine washable too which is awesome because she is a messy eater!
