FAQ for the Cat Wand Toy
- Q: Why doesn't my cat like this toy?
- A: Cats are like people; different cats have different preferences. Some cats will like the same toy, while others may not. We suggest not turning it on at the beginning and allowing your cat to get used to it as a normal wand toy before turning it on.
- Q: Is the tail safe? Is it easy to be bitten off?
- A: We use baby food-grade silicone, which is 100% non-toxic and safe. While most cats won't have an issue, some more active cats may be prone to biting it off. We recommend supervising your cat while they play with it.
- Q: If the tail is broken, where can I buy a replacement?
- A: The package includes 2 tail replacements, and we also offer separate replacement tails for sale on Amazon.
- Q: Is it noisy?
- A: When using this toy to interact with your cat manually or when it runs on the carpet, there is no noise. However, if it runs on hard floors, we recommend attaching the silicone ring to reduce noise.
- Q: Do long-haired cats get the silicone tails sticky?
- A: Some long-haired cats may get the tails sticky if they roll around on the ground. However, we offer upgraded plush tails on Amazon to address this issue.
- Q: Does it run too fast?
- A: When designing this toy, we tested it with more than 20 different cat breeds at different speeds and adjusted the speed hundreds of times to determine the most suitable one. This speed should be suitable for almost all cats.
- Q: How long does a charge last?
- A: Takes 2 hours to fully charge, lasts 1 hour, auto-shuts every 10 mins, charge fully before first use.

These are great and our cat loves them, but we're on our third or fourth in nine months. It would be nice to see these toys made with a more durable motor, even at twice the cost they'd still be a better value and we wouldn't be throwing one in the trash every 10-12wks.5⭐ for the cat entertainment factor, 2⭐ for dying so quickly

Mis gatos son algo quisquillosos, pero este juguete los entretiene unos minutos, muy pocos, el juguete está muy bien, no hace ruido, es resistente y llamativo, pero el peso evita que los gatos lo puedan cargar o aventar y eso es lo que no lo hizo un éxito con los míos, depende mucho de la personalidad de cada gato.

I chose this toy for the chonkster because he NEEDS exercise. He NEEDS a distraction to keep from treating our two senior kittizens like they are playtime prey. Enter this WONDER toy!!! He follows me as soon as he sees me take it off the bookcase and starts reaching for it before I can set it down!The BEST part of this toy is that soft, soft, soft tail that mimics a critter’s tail. Other motion toys I’ve tried for him had small plastic attachments, and one of those chipped the end of his left front tooth/fang right off. This toy is so much SAFER! Our kitties are family, so I’ll never own another toy that isn’t soft silicone.Other great details are the true random auto start stop on the toy as they play with it… just like a real critter would behave. If you use it in conjunction with a tunnel or paper bag, the sound is delicious to most kitties and adds to the play value. Throw some treats into the bag with this activated toy and you have a Kitty PARTY! Highly recommended, GREAT value and a super-effective, top-level distractor to keep a multi-cat family HAPPY!

I like it. I have three cats, ages 14, 15 and 15. Two love to play. Play is a lot more fun when it’s with a human playmate and a hand held wand. But, this toy is pretty successful by itself. The first cat likes it so far (and I expect my other one will too). She played with it a bit, it held her interest for a while, she wasn’t particularly intimidated by it (which can happen as a busy toy can be scary if a cat doesn’t know what to make of it). That’s a lot considering the fact that the toy is self-powered without a live playmate (me) if you want it to be. So, you can hold it to play with your cat, or you leave it on the floor on its own to squirm. And squirm is an understatement!Three important things to know:1. Two silicone “tails” are included. Before attaching the silicone “tail” to the body, wash the tail attachment with warm soapy water. The silicone has a terrible chemical smell to it. Cats may attempt to eat the silicone (this is stated in the booklet that comes with the toy). I can’t imagine that there is no toxicity but it is states that the silicone is “food grade” and safe if eaten but it says cats may attempt to eat it. It states don’t let your cat eat it.2. This toy wiggles wildly and moves distances across the floor. If there are any things on the floor (both hard floor and carpet) it may get stuck in or between things, including furniture. Also, any lightweight stuff on the floor and under surfaces/furniture - fur, hair, dust, etc will stick to the silicone tail as it thrashes about. Cats will eat this most likely when they chew on it.3. This is not a “pet companion” as stated. At least not for more than 10 minutes. The toy will move for 10 minutes only, then stop. The directions say the battery will last one hour on a full charge. The device takes 2 hours to fully charge. A USB cord is included to use to charge the internal battery.So far I think this toy is worth the $19 I paid for it on Amazon. I would be happier if it stayed on for longer than 10 minutes before stopping.I think this toy will be entertaining for my older cats as long as they aren’t intimidated by it and can keep up with it. Kittens and younger cats will love it.This toy keeps moving and is unpredictable which can hold a cat’s attention indefinitely. It can’t break or come apart (easily) or fall down as it’s down already, and it should last, all of which are hard to find in the world of automated cat toys. A very good product (in my opinion). I’ll update this review as time passes.
