Your cart is empty.A pony bottle is a smaller tank, which is carried in addition to the main tank. It possesses its own regulator with first and second stage and sometimes a separate pressure gauge. It will is mounted either at ones side or in front of the body or fixed to the main tank. A pony bottle scuba tank is the only true redundant breathing mechanism you can completely rely on. Depending on the type of diving you plan on doing will determine what capacity the redundant air supply needs to be. Catalina offers five different size bottles to meet every divers requirements. If used for sport diving there are three choices 6, 13 and 19 cu ft cylinders. If deep or deep technical diving or wreck penetration or cave diving there are the 30 and 40 cu ft cylinders available. The Pro Valve is one of the highest flow cylinder valves available today and is also a convertible valve. Whether you dive Yoke or DIN regulators this valve will work for both. Valve has easily removed 200 bar (3000 psi) DIN insert to convert the valve for use with DIN regulators. Valve has a heavy duty design with a smooth operating mechanism and multi-ported burst disc plug for added safety. Aluminum cylinders unlike steel cylinders don't rust, they oxidize. The oxidization of aluminum forms a protective coat that hinders the continuation of corrosion making aluminum cylinders less likely to be condemned due to excessive corrosion.

What can I say, Catalina is the most popular brand of tank and they live up to the reputation.They come with a Sherwood K valve that has a Yoke and DIN connection. Just use an Allen Key to remove the insert and it's ready for a DIN Regulator.If your a neatness freak beware because when they are shipped they will arrive with scratches in the paint.The boxes they arrive in are pretty flimsy so scratches do occur. The only way to get a scratch free tank is to buy it at a store. Honestly it makes no differences since after two dives the tank is going to be scratched anyway.

Excellent product and purchase! Have used on multiple dives all over the world. Would never dive without it while diving deeper than 50ft. Only time I don't use it is when I can't take it with me like with travel restrictions. Just make sure you have a good solid pony bottle mount and dedicated regulator setup.

Kind of expensive, but good bottles.I bought the 19cf to use for a bailout bottle. It is taller than I thought it would be. Should have gotten the 13 I guess.
