About the only negative review of this product is that it does not come with any assembly or mounting instructions. I did NOT assemble the two halves together first, and very much recommend you don't. Otherwise, you will have a very unwieldy product to mount. Here is what you do:1) Take one half of the shield (doesn't matter which) along with two of the large bolts and washers and two of the small black mounting plates. Go under the vehicle and put the half of the shield under where the front CATS are on one side of the vehicle. The shield should be placed with the narrower part towards the front of the vehicle and the wider end towards the back of the vehicle, with the edge with the eight screw holds at the center of the vehicle. You will see several holes on the frame of the vehicle of different shapes and sizes. The two big holes on the shield will align to two of the holes on the vehicle frame. Once the shield is aligned you will know where it will mount to the frame.2) Take down the shield and insert two of the small back mounting plated into the frame holes where you have just determined the shield will mount. The mounting plates are flat on one side and raised on the other where the large mounting screws will attached. This raised side should face down towards the ground, poking through the hole in the frame.3) Now take the half of the shield and, using the two large screws and washers, screw it to the mounting plates in the frame. You will need to do a little bit of finger gymnastics through secondary holes near the mounting plates to hold the plate in place. Do not tighten the mounting screws all the way as you will need some play in the shield later so that you can align it properly with the other half.4) Grab the other half of the shield along with the remaining two large screws and washers and small black mounting plates, as well as the eight smaller screws and their washers, and head back under the vehicle.5) You should now know where the two remaining small mounting plates should go in the frame, so put them there. If you don't, dry fit the other half of the shield to find the correct holes in the frame.6) Loosely mount the remaining shield half to the mounting plates in the frame to hold the shield up. Then align the smaller eight holes in the middle from both shield halves. Attach the two halves together with the eight small screws and washers and snug tight.7) Lastly, synch tight the four mounting screws to the frame and you're done!As a side note, before installing the CAT shield I got high-heat engine paint in red and sprayed the two CATS to make them less appealing if someone ever does go to the trouble of removing the shield to get to them. The photos show the front mounting hole on my frame before and after the small black mounting plate was inserted into the frame, as well as the back mounting hole on the frame before and after as reference.

After our catalytic converter was stolen, we needed something to help deter people from picking our truck as an easy target. The metal isn’t flimsy, has a nice solid structure to it. It covers all the converters with enough protection. It was fairly easy to install. Definitely need two people to install such a large piece.

The shield came well packaged with foam and bubble wrap. As noted instructions were not include but was a straight forward install. I managed to put it on by myself but used a floor jack to balance the shield while lifting it up. That freed up my hands to get rectangular plates in frame and hold them while installing the bolts. It took me about 30 minutes to install and am well pleased with the results. They look awesome! Like most reviewers I wish the back portion of shield was a tad longer. However, the Cats are well protected, but the rear resonators are still visible, but it would be difficult to cut out as there is no access to the front of them. Hopefully this will make scumbags move on to something easier! Recommend this for all Tundra owners.

I have had this a little while but just installed them today . I traveled to a hot spot lol so I decided to put them on. Houston is a hot zone for this type of theft so I actually put them on while visiting a relative today ,the 4th. Easy to install with a jack to assist . Did in maybe 20 mins. Sold construction. No complaints very pleased.I tried to add some pictures that show different views and clearance ect..

Like most I am also concerned with having the catalytic converters in my truck stolen. I've been searching for one of these shields and this one caught my attention the most. It's quite sturdy and seems well made for the price. It's a two piece catalytic shield and is connected in the middle with 10 small bolts. It does cover all 4 of the catalytic converters, however, I wish it would stretch back a couple more inches in order to provide a bit more protection to the rear converters. Also, this shield is made of aluminum rather than steel like some of the more expensive options.A few pro's:The shield does cover all 4 of the converters. It ships quickly, if you are a prime member it'll most likely get to your house in 2 days.It is easy to assemble and quite easy to install once you figure out where to bolt it on the truck. (I suggest using the box and foam it came in to support the shield on the ground while you install it.)Has vents for air flow.Comes painted rather than bare metal/ aluminum.Comes with all the hardware needed including security bolts/screws, washers, and the security torx bits.Gives you some peace of mind.A few con’s:The packaging comes with zero installation instructions or pictures. It does not take long to figure out how to assemble it or how to install it on the truck, however some guidance would be nice as there are also no instructions or pictures on Amazon’s website.Though the shield covers all 4 catalytic converters it does leave some space behind the rear converters exposed. (Please see attached photos.)It does not come with any spare bolts or washers. It would have been nice to have a couple of spares in case you misplace one.

Installation was easy and shield is good quality. Does not come with instructions but the holes on the shield clearly line up with holes on the frame. The rectangular brackets sit inside the holes of the frame and it can be tricky to start a screw without being able to push on the back of the bracket. I used a drill to spin the screw as I raised it towards the bracket and managed to get it to engage without holding the bracket. It helped to use the box and foam packaging under the truck to rest the shield close to the bottom of the truck while installing. Overall satisfied with the product.

Nice product, didn’t have instructions but easy to do. Comes in 2 pieces, assemble first then put it on. Fit with no issues, I used threadlocker on the bolts. One note, the washers they provide for the security bolts are too small, I swapped them out for larger diameter fender washers
