Drilled 4 holes in concrete. Easy to handle while penetrating concrete. Ideal functions for the type of tool. Easy to switch out tips.

Great drill from a reputable company! I used this to drill into some concrete and it worked very well. Recommend!

I used this to drill two 2" holes through my exterior brick to install a tankless water heater. This drill is heavy and powerful. Feels good in the hands and the front handle makes it easy to control. Don't bother using cordless tools for heavy drilling in concrete or brick. Grab and extension cord and get this thing going. Makes your job much easier with less fatigue.

I needed this hammer drill to mount shelf with a few bolts in the cement of my basement wall. This things had all the power I needed plus some. It is a bit of a hassle to get because I’m used to battery powered tools now, however, this thing has way more power and I know I can count on it to get all the jobs done that my batter powered drills can’t. It comes with a really nice case that will keep it protected when I toss this tool in the back of my vehicle.

Update - I've put this unit to work over the last week, first removing a large brick fireplace and then 400 sq feet of tile. Both with various chisel bits. It worked great and ran hard for hours on end. A larger unit would be faster, but for me the speed of the job was limited more by hauling out the material than by the drill. I appreciated the quick one-handed adjustmet of the forward support handle. I frequently needed to rotate it for clearance, and the quick twist handle was excellent for that. For occasional use or home-owner projects you can't go wrong here.Overall it's a decent hammer drill. This is my first time using a SDS drill. The bits can be a bit tricky to line up - it's a snug fit, particularly with the dust cover. The hammer action feels a bit light, but it had no trouble with a 3/4" milwaukee drill bit into an old cinder block. One nice feature is the swivel fitting for the extra long cord. Instead of that firm "accordion" plastic at the handle, it has a ball and socket that can move much more freely. Another nice feature is the design of the foregrip/second handle - the handle itself is the clamp screw to set it's position. This allows quick one-handed adjustment of handle position. My other hammer drill has a separate set screw for the clamp and requires two hands to adjust. An odd feature is the mode selection switch. It has drill, hammer drill, and chisel modes. It also has a temporary "alignment" mode that allows free spinning by hand so you can set the angle of the chisel bit. You can also do this when in the drill/hammer drill modes, so I don't know why they felt the need to include this 4th setting. One thing I don't like is the placement of the forward/reverse switch. It's not over the trigger like every other drill - it's up on the main body by the cooling fan. Not as quick, easy, or intuitive to use. On the other hand, for this type of drill it's less common to change direction anyway. The supplied case is nice and leaves room to store a couple bits/chisels/etc as well.

Caterpillar has been making awesome construction equipment as well as fantastic tools for years and this rotary hammer drill is another great product!. This rotary hammer drill comes with a great length cord, a heavy duty travel case that is lockable with your own lock, doesn't have that much vibration when using it and is very easy to transport. The only issue at this price point would be not including any chisels or bits. Other than that I would highly recommend this rotary hammer drill for your home concrete projects.

I bought this baur sds drill to drill some 3/8 in holes in a concrete pad for a gazebo. This thing was a hot knife through butter. I’ve used the hilti equivalent to this drill. And I think for at home use this drill is every bit as good. Highly recommend for the price. You can’t go wrong. Plus you get CAT quality in a very rugged tool.

I bought this rotary hammer drill for masonry projects around house such as drilling holes in block walls, chiseling mortar and drilling holes for framing. Overall the product is great! Things I like about it:- great hard case to house and carry the tool- extra long cord- durable build and ergonomic designThere is really just one thing I don't like about the tool and that is the fact that it comes with no bits or chisels. Other ones I have gotten do come with accessories so if your expecting them with this tool you would be wrong. Aside from that I like this tool and would buy again!
