Toolocity cbadptr_0038 Adapter For Core Bits-5/8"-11 To 3/8" Triangle Shank, Black. I purchased two as I suspected I would need them given the job I'd intended them for. They were nicely machined and fit perfectly. I used them to drive a 3 inch wet core drill bit with a hefty right angle drill to bore concrete in an area that space did not allow for a typical wet core drill set up. This size bit and usage was not a practical use for an adapter of this sort with only a 3/8" shank, but the adapter performed nicely until the core bit snagged and caused the right angle drill to nearly tear from my hands. The shank of the adapter twisted which caused it to go out of alignment and caused the bit to then wobble when drilling. The shank twisted but did not break. The second adapter performed perfectly as well until a repeat snagging of the bit occurred and twisted the shank, albeit not as much as the first snagging event. Nonetheless I was able to complete the job. I am not sure if a more expensive adapter would of survived the snagging issue, which is prevalent with hand held core boring operations, but perhaps an adapter with a 1/2" shank would of not suffered the twisting issue. I would purchase these again if needed, but with the intention to drive lighter loads so as to not damage them.
