Steps in preparation to purchasing a cemetery monument here on Amazon. Many are facing this purchase for the first time. The steps we detail here are essential to securing a monument for your loved one.

• Contact your cemetery for any requirements or restrictions for your plot. This can be style, size, color, design and possibly more. This will direct you to a monument that will be accepted. Do this prior to purchase.
• Cemetery can also advise you on foundation requirements. Often the cemetery will provide this service. You are responsible for the foundation construction.
• Setting or placement of the monument is the buyers responsibility. Some cemeteries will set stones. Other options to find this service is funeral homes that sell headstones. They have a setter or contract the service themselves. Burial vault dealers are setting stones now. Their equipment works in stone setting.
• You are responsible for all contact with the cemetery. Some will require forms filled out. Our graphic we send you will have all the info to complete that form.
• Cemeteries sometime require design approval. Your graphic we send once purchased will have what they need. forward this to cemetery for approval. A rejection for restrictions we clearly have addressed in the first bullet point we will deduct our design time from the cancelation. Follow the first step prior to purchase.

Design Process

Open the yellow button "Customize & Add to Cart". The customization screens will appear. Using a desk top computer will help you see all the information included in these screens. If you use a phone or tablet you must click on every gray circle with a small case "i" in the circle. This will show the additional information you need to see.

• First the delivery location. There are four options. Each has requirements and the delivery address must meet the requirements.
• You will be asked for the contact person and a contact number at the location that will inspect and sign for the delivery. Must inspect before signing for delivery. Any damage and the delivery is to be refused and we will file the claim and remedy the issue for delivery of a stone. Sign for and accept a damaged stone and you will be responsible for filing the claim. Please inspect the stone. Damage is less than 1% but it can happen.
• You will be asked to select a design from the options. Our designers collect all your selections and entries and create a perfect graphic design for your monument. This will be sent to you for review in Amazon messages.
• Names and dates are next and are set to specific character counts that are absolute. Please enter in format show as the example in the customization screen.
• Amazon system will not show a finished view of the stone. The system is not capable of that and will simply show your entries.
• You will be asked for any endearment you wish to engrave this is refer to as epitaph or sentiment. This again has a strict character limit.
• You will be offered several additional options to add to your stone. This can range from back face engraving to portraits or flower vases. Cost and size options are listed in these offerings. Your graphic will reflect these added amenities.
• Last there are two questions concerning your understanding of how to find messages and your responsibility that the stone meets all cemetery requirements.

You must approve the graphic for the stone to proceed.
