Bought for is small low pro design. Ran in a Mojave body rig on a cheater chassis so I have interior room. Rig is heavy at 7+ pounds and OG fusion motor. Works great. Trans can be mirrored. Which is what I did to get the orientation I needed. Ordered a 2nd on for a metal caged moon buggy I’m doing.

This transmission looks great but upon opening the gears are much thinner than I'd expect. The bearings could be better too.Could configure it to hold the motor on opposite side by switching plates and using cap head screws.Has a service window for greasing the gears.I am a bit worried about the durability of this transmission.I am trying to build a LCG super light 10th scale so it may hold up. Not sure of the gear set and where to get replacements yet either.

This is an interesting one, as it's not a direct clone or knockoff of an existing product, but a variation thereof. It has elements that are well thought out and some that are not. In concept, I like this transmission, however the quality of the materials and lack of gear reduction worries me if you are doing anything more than trailing. If you are putting down brushless power in a heavy trail truck or consistently putting your crawler in a bind on the rocks, this probably isn't the product for you. Go buy the product that this one is imitating and you'll be much happier in the long run. To clarify - I've owned the transmission this one is trying to copy for over two years and it's been flawless. No issues with bearings, gear wear or failure, etc. Yes, it was 3x the cost, but it has outperformed any other transmission I've owned and is made in the US with superior materials, design, and craftsmanship.HOWEVER, if you're on a budget and need a small, affordable transmission with very little gear reduction for your super-scale hardbody with a full-depth interior, this could be the transmission for you. Below is a list of the pros and cons that I've noticed.Pros:- Compact, no external spur gear- Fully enclosed- Reasonably lightweight (74g w/ included 9t pinion)- Uses standard Axial 4-bolt mounting pattern- Aluminum and carbon fiber case look good- Access port to check gear meshCons:- Very little gear reduction (Only 3:1 total reduction w/the included 9t pinion). Consider using with a transfer case and/or portal gears. This transmission will be FAST in a straight axle rig and almost no additional gear reduction can be gained from the pinion (an 8t, 32p pinion from Redcat is the smallest I've seen available)- Gears are sintered, not machined- Drive shafts appear to be pot metal- Bearing fitment in carbon fiber isn't perfect (some play fore/aft)- Unlikely to find placement parts if gears blow up- Cheap, shielded bearingsMisc- Hardware needs blue thread locker and gears need grease- Gears are 32 pitch and/or 0.8 mod- Internal gears are 24t (spur), 8t (idler), 27t (output)
