I don't know who invented the Western spoon and decided it was a good idea.I mean if I were to come up with a really stupid weight loss plan, it would involve tying to eat enough calories using a Western-style spoon. Seriously. Ridiculous. It was someone's idea of a prank that has just gone on way too long.Western-style spoons can be used for stirring coffee, but so can an inverted silicone spatula. I know this because I'm sipping my delicious spatula coffee right now. The world could completely ditch these abomination spoons in favor of Asian soup spoons and it might bring the Messiah. No promises. I'm just saying.Asian soup spoons are like miniature bowls unto themselves. They provide the ideal design for transporting food from the bowl to the face hole (that rhymed, but you might have to say it out loud to hear it--I'll wait). These spoons are perfect for chili, borscht, or ice cream. The one and only downside is that they refuse to perch on the end of a nose--if you try, the spoon will likely fall and break (ok that's two downsides).These spoons ae beautiful. Each has a unique and delicate design, adding to the ideal mealtime atmosphere.These are a great gift for anyone who would like to actually eat their food rather than just look at it. One thumb up (the other is managing my ice cream intake, otherwise it would also be up.)

These are very pretty spoons, I almost don't want to use them! They are superior to traditional spoons for soup since the bowl is so much larger and more functional. I put them right in my dishwasher and they come out sparkling clean. If you are a little spoon user, give these a go, they might just be a weird enough shape for you.

These are lovely Ceramic Asian Soup Spoons. The long handle is great, and the generous top of the spoon allows for more broth. I love the design on each spoon, and they are dishwasher safe.
