I’ve tried a lot of instant Chais, and this one has just the right amount of spiciness and sweet. And it’s so easy.

This instant chai has a lovely balance of ginger and cardamom, giving it a warm, slightly spicy flavor without being overwhelming. It smells stronger than it tastes, but it’s still plenty flavorful and comforting. The sweetness is mild, so whether you add extra depends on how you take your tea. It dissolves easily in hot water with just a stir, no clumps or residue, and I love that it’s made with simple, natural ingredients. The packaging isn’t single-serve, so you’ll need to scoop it out yourself, but that just means you can adjust the strength to your liking. There’s a little sediment left at the bottom, but nothing that bothers me. It’s perfect for chilly mornings or winding down in the evening without the hassle of brewing a whole pot.

I liked this chai a lot, but it's a bit on the 'spices' side of chai. The ginger is a bit stronger than I prefer so I made a chai latte instead and brewed the powder with milk. I have a nice frother so I added the powder and milk and had a nice chai latte within minutes. This blended up well and made a nice chai overall. That said, for my preferences the ingredients weren't balanced. That's down to preferences though and I think this made a nice chai.

The instant chai tea powder is easy to mix. The powder dissolved as soon as I put hot water on it. It didn't even need to be boiling hot as I used 176 degree water. The flavor itself can potentially be overly strong if chai isn't a frequent or top go tondrink. To achieve the level of sweetness I like if using just the powder, the other spices and ginger becomes overpowering for me.This mix still works well for me though if I just add my own sweetener once I reach the spice level I like. It's very versatile and I'll be using it probably more as a creamer for my black teas.

This product isn't bad for an "instant" chai. It's easy to make (just add boiling water to the powder mix). In terms of flavor, it's sweet but I did not find it to be too sweet. The chai taste that I'm used to is definitely there, but there's a very strong lingering taste that I wasn't used to. I think it's the ginger that really stands out and hits you strong, but maybe also the cardamom. I just found the spice notes way too overpowering and distracting from the chai, but that's just my personal preference.

This smells like it's going to have a very strong ginger flavor. It doesn't though. There's definitely ginger in there, but it's not as strong as it smells. It's probably about as strong as a strong ginger ale as far as the ginger goes. It doesn't quite reach the level of ginger beer. Imagine if you added some dried ginger powder to your juice instead of juicing fresh ginger in it. That's the difference here. That makes sense, considering this is obviously powder. It does have some sweetness to it. Whether or not you sweeten it is going to depend on you. Are you a black coffee drinker? You won't need to sweeten it. Are you a half a pint of cream and 12 sugars type of coffee drinker? You'll want to add sugar, and maybe a little cream. It mixed just fine with hot water. All I did was stir it with a spoon, and there's nothing on the bottom. It is good. It is definitely flavorful. It tastes way better than quite a few different chai mixes I have tried. Those tend to taste like dirt or nothing.
