great value, works great. Chain does not fall off no need to pay a lot more versus those other name brands. We just got back from big Bear Mountain in California and no problem. I live in Aaron Gwin country in So Cal and 2-3 times a week I mountain bike in this area

Does not really inspire confidence in the construction or appearance, but it works. Probably put at least a couple hundred miles on it by now and has held up fine.UPDATE: I have maybe 500-700 miles on it now and it still works! Running an oval chainring up front and works great with it.

easy installation and adjustment. Quality stainless steel button head screws. Good looking and durable plastic guide piece where the chain channels through.A+

Bought this for my KHS after I made it a 1X9 . It worked as described with lots of adjustability. Use blue loctite to keep the screws tight from vibration.

Came with the wrong size hardware for my fathers bike which is industry standard ISCG05 mounting bracket. As this product claims it is in fact ISCG05.... Useless. We took it the the bike shop and the guys couldn't even install it because it didn't come with the right stuff like I had said above... DUMB DUMB DUMB

The chain guide itself is not bad, and it's pretty much an identical design to other manufacturers (OneUp, MRP, etc.). Which is why I chose this model becasue it looked similar and was the least expensive option. Now, here's the reason it's less expensive than those other options, and why I only gave it two stars:First, it's advertised as ISCG-05 mount compatible, yet it came with wrong size screws that will not work with your ISCG-05 mount. The ISCG-05 specs call for M6 screws, and this chain guide came with M5 screws that are both too small in diameter and most likely too short (the screws included are M5-8mm). Flat head internal socket M6 screws are not very common and can't always be found at your local Home Depot or Lowe's, so unless you have some left over from other components, you may have to order them on-line. MRP sells a kit for $9.95 plus shipping, which is a bit pricey, and will make this chain guide more expensive than competition. The second reason for my low rating is becasue it didn't come with any spacers (which other brands do include), so if you have to tweak your chain guide for clearance, you'll have to rig something up (probably use washers). With all this said, you'll probably be better off just buying a more expensive OneUp or MRP guide to begin with and saving yourself some hassle in the process. And if you still decide to buy this chain guide, the screws you'll need to buy are M6-1 10mm or M6-1 12mm, depending on whether or not you have to use spacers/washers for proper fit.

For the price (22 bucks), I'm impressed it looks like it'll do its job. A similar offering from Specialized retails for about 15 more, and they're very similar -- wouldn't be surprised if they were both made in the same factory in Asia.Currently running it as part of a 1x7 setup on my DH bike (clutch r/d + narrow-wide front ring) and I intend on riding aggressively in the bike park so we'll see if it stands up to the abuse. Added a little fuzzy velcro on the inside to quiet up the ride even more.Docked a star because the hardware it came with is useless and the plastic top part is pretty brittle (mine already started to crack, but it should hold).

For a bike that is chain guide comparable, the screws that come with this do not work.
