High-performance polyethylene makes the shin plates flexible and durable while maintaining a light weight. The cantilever-shaped lining system spreads the shock of impact and minimizes force transferred to the catcher’s shins. A triple knee covering the upper leg and wings over the calf and ankle provide protection for most of the leg. Optimus Pro Leg Guards are also built with athlete comfort in mind; air flows through the ventilation holes to cool catchers and prevent heat buildup during play, while the contour-molded adjustable Dri-Gear liner wicks away moisture and helps keep catchers comfortable and dry on hot days. I wore these Shin guards about 10 times and they have falling apart. Worse ever. Not a good product for the price.
