I have just bought it a few months past, but already liking how it's going. I grill almost every weekend, and use hips of coarse salt in the meat, so these baskets normally do not last me much long due to corrosion; typical is 2 years duration. This one has notably thicker steel plate and contrary to predecessors - Weber brand included - it is not a 2 piece basket. Being cut and bent from a single plate has a good advantage: it doesn't split open when I drag them around in the grill. This always happens with the regular ones with their flimsy bump and slot retainer design, which defeats the purpose of using a coal basket.

These charcoal baskets are fantastic! They make starting the charcoal burn so much easier and more efficient. The baskets are sturdy, well-made, and the quality is excellent. I also love that you can position them in different ways to control the temperature of the food, depending on what you’re cooking. This added versatility makes them a must-have for anyone who loves grilling. Highly recommend!

Stainless steel baskets for your weber kettle. Allows you to grill with indirect heat. Each container is bent stainless steel and all the edges have been finished so there are no sharp edges to cut yourself. I grill my turkey for thanksgiving. I can fit a 20lb turkey in the kettle, and the indirect cooking method prevents the turkey from burning. These baskets work perfectly to keep the coals on the side of the kettle.
