I always plug the bike in before I plug the charger into a receptacle to keep it from sparking. this charger sparks even with it being plugged in correctly.

This charger is not as sturdy as the original that came with the bike. That charger lasted 750 miles. This substitute does charge it fully, but it takes way too long and gets extremely warm While charging my rad e-bike battery.
