Very poor quality. What looks like a chrome coating of the hammer is destroyed after just 11 soft copper bracelets. Don't waste your money.

Nice finish to head of hammer however, handle will need a little work with 400 grit paper. Will probably end up both sanding and refinishing wood handle while I am at it. Manufacturer did not use sander sealer, nor final finished handle very well.

My wife is very crafty and needed a chasing hammer . I suggested she choose a quality product and this certainly filled her wishes . We tend to pick quality over price and this is certainly great quality .

The main down side of these inexpensive hammers is the heads ALWAYS come loose. So what I do when this happens is firstly reverse the handle, I like the curve on the opposite side. then replace the hammer head with a liberal dose of epoxy, never had one come off after that. the hammerhead itself is well made, and the handle material is good.

This is my fourth and final chasing hammer at last!!! I have had SO much drama with these chasing hammers and various vendors. Like I said this is my fourth and the previous three did not work out at all. The first one was beautiful but was the wrong type of chasing hammer. The second was damaged out of the package and the third was damaged and the domed shape was WAY to domed for my needs. The problem with these chasing hammers I ordered were the construction of the socket. I researched and discovered that the socket, where the head meets the handle shaft, should be oval in shape. This prevents the head from spinning on the handle shaft. I am so grateful that I finally found what I wanted. A chasing hammer with a slight domed head and an oval socket. It may have taken a lot of frustration and disappointments but was all actually worth for me because at last I got what I was looking for.
