It is sturdy, well-made, and easy to use. There has been no damage to the metal with use over time and it works very well as a strainer. It is very easy to clean and it is easy to maintain its white color as well. There is no staining on the plastic after usage.

So I got this strainer cause I wanted to use it to sift out the dust from cat litter before putting it in the litter box. I know, not exactly a kitchen application, but if you knew the mess I have to deal with if I don't do that, then you'd understand. At any rate, I was wanting to separate the fine particles from the rest of the litter. This worked really well with my kitchen strainer when I was testing it out, but I also don't want to use my kitchen strainer for this for obvious reasons. That's why I wanted to buy a cheap-o strainer. Nothing too fancy, but I still want it to get the job done.That's where I made my error. This thing is kind of too cheap. It is fine if you're gonna be straining pasta, maybe, or basically separating any solid from a liquid. But separating fine-as-dust particles from fine-as-crumbs particles, not so much. The litter sifted out with the rest of the dust. The mesh, unfortunately, wasn't fine enough... Which I should have expected, cause why would a barely-$5 strainer be that fine? So that's why I'm not giving it less than an average rating. It's a perfectly serviceable strainer if you're not wanting to get refined results. Separating a big thing from a small thing, sure, perfectly adequate. Sadly for my application, it's not gonna cut it.On a side note, it got shipped in a bag instead of a box, so the mesh got smushed a bit when it shipped, but honestly, I was able to reshape it enough that I wasn't too irked about it. I can see that being a potential problem, though.

Works well so far. Lightweight, Easy to use and clean, and I use for kefir and it fits the wide mouth jars.

I was skeptical about the quality just based on the price but it exceeded my expectations. This is a nice strainer that is sturdy. Fits over a tall tumbler but would fit a wide mouth ball jar too. I use this to strain my kefir and it works like a charm.

I like that this strainer can hook onto the edge of a bowl. Means I don't have to do much multi-tasking when I'm baking.
