Not as heavy as I hoped the paper would be.

I compared these with index cards purchased at Staples. Please see the photo. The Chell index cards are nicer! They are slightly heavier but what sets the apart is that the paper quality is better; the paper is smoother and better to write on and there is less ink bleed with the Chell card. The cards are listed as 'heavy weight'. To me, they are not 'heavy' but they are slightly heavier than the staples card. For comparison both the Staples and the Chell card have a wide top header (the Staples card has one pink line below the header, and the Chell card has a double pink line below the header, and they both have 10 spaces to write in below the header (though the Staples card has 10 fine blue lines and the Chell card has 9, slightly thicker blue lines). Both cards are blank on the back. The Chell cards are more expensive, about 4 times as costly as other index cards, so what you use these cards for should be considered when you're paying so much for them. These are good cards to use when you are keeping them long term, say with recipes written on then. If you are just looking for something to use a few times and discard, you should buy a cheaper card.

Purpose for Product: I use hundreds of index cards each year and the supply was running low.Product Inspection: Two plastic wrapped packets of 50 cards each, one side ruled the other blank. The paper is very slick feeling to the touch, much more than what I am used too.Product Performance: Opened one pack last night so they would be ready this morning when I started work. To my surprise the cards had started to buckle up, see photo. I have never seen this happen before. Wrote on the cards during work and found ink and pencil worked well.Summary: It might sound trifle, but I need the cards to stay flat and these refuse to do that, they just got worse all day.
