When you are making a fruit salad or making a dessert that uses fresh cherries, this is a nice gadget to have to make life so much easier. It should work with olives too. Just position a cherry in the holder and carefully press down to extract the pit. This will probably save me money since I would not have to buy the pitted olives or cherries anymore. The holder is a silicone type material which prevents slipping as well as being easy to clean. The holder almost funnels the pit down through the ejection hole on the bottom. No much cherry flesh is sacrificed by the de-pitter so there's less wastage. The de-pitter is metal along with the spring. The rest of the tool is plastic. It does not feel flimsy. Cleaning the de-pitter is more of a challenge since it is hollow and flesh can get stuck in there . Overall it's a decent tool that does the trick. The sandwich bread crimper is interesting but I don't use it much since we don't mess our bread too much being that there aren't kids in our household that enjoy things like that. It could be fun for visiting kids in the future. Like others have said the bread needs to be thin or else it will get bound up with bread at the hinge side.

This cherry pitter works well. You position the cherry in the holder, which holds it securely, and when you press down the pitter removes the pit cleanly with a minimal loss of meat. It does a much cleaner job of it than would be possible with a paring knife. Since it only pits one cherry at a time, it is only useful for a recipe that uses a fairly modest amount of cherries, but if that's what you need it will do a good job without much effort.

I am one of those who use fresh cherries for cooking, specifically - dumplings, that goes great with sour cream and maple syrup, or a cherry pie. No need to say that pits has to be removed, and this is what this little thing does quickly and efficiently. Build quality is sufficient, design is nice. The unit is super easy to clean, so no complains at all. I do not use sandwich press, so no comments on that one.

Really interesting combo. Both work well. Cherry pitter is a bit larger than others I have seen but feels good in hand. The sandwich maker comes in multiple pieces so easy to clean.

This cherry pick remover does a wonderful job, de-pitting cherry's. A simple squeeze ejects the pit, without any strain or pain. I used it for a dozen or so.Cherries just to see and found it to be exactly as described. It seems doorable and long lasting , though it's just plastic and stainless steel. The included sandwich press is also really great.

The cherry pitter works exactly as it should. No surprises.The sandwich press was a let down. The hinge doesn't have any way to expand to accommodate the thickness of the bread. It needs to come straight down on the bread, not diagonal. It gets blocked by the hinge side and the other side is barely touched. It isn't particularly functional unless you use the thinnest bread slices on earth.

This is a great little tool for pitting cherries! If you're trying to go with more natural baking and eating, avoiding canned fruit and fillings, this gadget will be your best friend. Pitting cherries by hand can be tedious and intimidating, but this works like a charm and makes the process fast and easy. It's no trouble to clean it up and store it, as well. It's a great little tool.

i kept wanting to get a cherry pitter, but never got around to ordering one until now. this cherry picker is much larger that the one i borrowed from a neighbor and not as well made. it also has a long lip. i am not sure what is the purpose of it, besides taking extra room in a kitchen drawer. still, the picker seems sturdy enough for occasional use to pit cherries or olives. it is very easy to use, does not require a lot of strength, which is good even for people with limited strength. material is stainless and plastic, so cleaning it is very easy.the tool looks nice. it came in a small box. could be bought as a thoughtful little hostess, gift or a thank you gift.this order also came with a sandwich cutter/presser. not sure how often it will be used in our household. making little sandwiches with kids could be a fun activity. it is a novelty item.
