How Does a Two-Stage Gear Pump Work?
Our Two-Stage gear pump comprises two pumps, both of which are connected to a hydraulic shaft. One pump is a high displacement or high flow pump. The other is the exact opposite - it is a low displacement or low flow pump. Now, in low pressure situations, the flow from both the pumps is combined at the outlet creating a high flow rate.
- Since gear pumps always send the same quantity of fluid at the pressure port after each revolution, even medium to low pressures create effective fluid displacement needed to perform an activity.
