No assembly, sturdy with soft material in contact points. Great for the price.

I wanted a guitar stand that was light weight, easy to carry, quick to set up and breakdown, and would keep my guitar safe. This stand is awesome - it does it all! And the price was fantastic!! WINNER!

This is actually the cheapest stand I have ever bought and for 9 dollars more I could of gotten 2 of them for under 20 dollars I wish I did , this is stand is no different than the 35 dollar stand there exactly the same ! Fold up with ease and packs away in my gig bag no issues it hold the guitar properly and has a rubber top so it won't scratch the neck I'm buying these from now on you can't beat the price.

I really like this Chromacast stand. It's not as clunky and awkward to deal with as the other guitar stands I've owned. It's one piece and when you're not using it you can fold it up and easily store it. So far it's the best stand I've ever owned.

We bought this for our Fender "Mini" Strat Beginner Electric Guitar. There are many similar options on Amazon, but we picked this because it's a small business. The stand is exactly like the picture, and it is very sturdy. I am certain it will hold a full size electric guitar too.

This stand is lightweight and folds up relatively flat for transportation. the locking mechanism is tight and sturdy enough to keep the stand from collapsing when it's engaged. The only disappointment I have with this stand is the way the rubber friction bumper at the top is constructed. [See attached photo.] It isn't what I would call *sturdy*. I have two other stands with similar construction to the ChromaCast, and the rubber pieces on those stands are firmly attached and difficult to move in any direction. On this stand, however, that rubber bumper is attached with two screws through the top: the thinnest section of that bumper. The bottom part of the thicker front section is easily lifted away from the front of the stand. If it gets caught on something by accident in transport, the entire front section could easily break off, making the stand unusable. So, this might be a nice stand to have in a studio where it doesn't get moved around a lot in vehicles with other equipment.

Needs more cushion on the backrest where the guitar leans, I will need to add a little Eva foam as what is there is a little weak IMO.

Sturdy little stand. Especially great for those with little room to spare, as it has a small footprint and is very light.

This light and sturdy stand has all the problems that other reviewers have complained about, but I was able to implement fixes and make these work. As other reviewers have reported, the foam rubber pads that support the back of the guitar did mess up the finish on several of my guitars. Fortunately, I was able to repair the finish issues with "Virtuoso Premium Instrument Polish & Cleaner Combo" which is available on Amazon. (I only needed the cleaner.) I was even able to clean up my nitrocellulose-finish guitar.I also implemented two fixes to the stands that so far have prevented damage from occurring. The first fix is to cut the end off of a cotton sock and slip the sock over the support pad on the stand (see photo). The other fix is to attach a piece of cork tile to the support pad with double-stick foam mounting tape (see photo). I like the cork fix best. The cork tile also helps the stand support the guitar more vertically. You can get cork tile at Staples (UPC 18103 23768). I found the foam mounting tape (Scotch Indoor Mounting Tape - UPC 21200 01053) at my grocery store.I followed these steps to implement the cork tile fix:1. Peel off the foam rubber pad on the stand's plastic guitar back support piece.2. Clean the foam adhesive residue off the face of the plastic support piece. I used Goo Gone followed by a rubbing alcohol and water solution.3. Using regular scissors, cut a strip of cork tile about 9/16" wide and 2 inches long.4. Cut a two-inch strip of the foam tape.5. Attach the non-backed side of the foam tape strip to the cork strip.6. Remove the backing on the foam tape and attach the cork / tape strip to the upper part of the plastic support piece. Press the cork / tape piece on firmly. With either of these fixes you can enjoy the benefits of these stands without damaging your guitars. You can buy cork-coated stands online but they're typically over $50. I now own six of these stands, and I've implemented the cork tile fix on all of them. I like these stands because they are compact, light and unobtrusive; they're inexpensive and they're easy to transport to a gig.Chromacast, please replace the foam support pads with cork so we don't have to!

This is an excellent stand. I bought this mainly for use with my Double neck SG but imagine it could work with any double or single neck guitar as the support approach is neck agnostic. It's lightweight and feels like it has very sturdy construction. The motion is smooth. I don't forsee any issues with this product.
