If you have a 96-03 xl custom with factory drag bars and don’t want to change out any cables or extend wiring harness these will work perfectly, great quality, they are not knurled but are dimpled exactly where they need to be, slightly over sized in the center and had no issues clamping down and getting them on tight.

For my needs, this worked great. However, the center isn't 8". So, if you need an 8" center, well, then you are in the wrong place.This thing is heavy. It's built to withstand quite a bit of abuse. I'm not actually putting it on a motorcycle, so much as I'm putting it on one of my homemade minibikes. It's far, far sturdier than the aluminum stuff I usually use.This is built so well that I put it with most of my other nice parts. Normally, I use lawn mower wheels, but this one actually has real aluminum scooter wheels. It's more of a road bike than what I usually make. It even has a real GX200 that I got from a local hardware store for $150 because someone returned a pressure washer with one on it after they ran it with no water and burnt up the pump. Point is, I considered these the nicest handlebars I own, so they went on the nice bike.

Solid, firm, and sturdy! Good bar if you want a different size than that’s being advertised. The clamping area is no where near 8” size it says in photo.
