I like the simple look and sturdy construction. The only caveat being you need to disassemble and degrease both the studs and knobs, then use some loctite and reassemble them. Be sure to make sure hoe much stud you need to have sticking out.With my cast valve covers, the 1/2" or so was not enough. I had to have them out about 3/4", but the fit is such that installing them just threaded the stud back into the knobs.Loctite won't stick to the machine oil they use in manufacturing. So degrease both pieces, make sure they are clean and dry, then reassemble with loctite

Studs need to be loose when installing to give them more length to reach heads. They will tighten up when fully installing. Sbc 350 . MT valve covers
