Clear ammonia means to me that will contain only ammonia (NH4OH) and nothing else. The product I received definitely contains a foaming agent of some type. At least it does contain ammonia.

This is much more concentrated than domestic ammonia from the grocery store. I used it to deter skunks....one application sufficient....they don't like it at all. Perhaps consider wearing breath protection while applying as it is concentrated enough to burn your nasal passages....

I use this to repel mice. It's definitely strong scented which is great! Stay away mice!!! Great price also! Oh BTW one of the containers had a small leak, about a 1/4 loss but that's ok! I won't cry over spilled amonia!
