Step 1: Place the dashed line of the desired CUT size on the seam line of an unpressed half-square triangle.
Step 2: With the rotary cutter, trim the two sides of the half square triangle.
Step 3: Keep the trimmer in place. Trim the dog ears using the edge slots on each side that align with the chosen size. Trimming is now complete.

I used this easy trim tool for a quilt of 1/2 square triangles. It really sped up the trim step.

Looks like a really good product for making lots of half square triangles and cutting off the dog ears. But I wanted it for smaller squares of 2.5 inches and it was for big results. Sadly did return it.

I love that the seam line and cut line are so clearly identifiec. It makes squaring squares while still in half square triangles so much easier that other methods.

Love these rulers. I own each one of them and use them all the time. It is the most accurate way to make half square triangles. I have purchased them for quilting friends and told many people about them. Can't go wrong with these rulers.

GAME CHANGER!!! I’ve been sewing for about 10 months and my points were meh. But then I got this bad boy and all my points were perfect because I could square up my half square triangles! It’s heavy duty and the cutting off of dog ear feature is the best. I just wish I had gotten this sooner in my hobby. Totally recommend!
