The weather's warming up and that means mosquito season where we live. I always burn a citronella candle when I sit out to read in the warmer months. This works as well as any others I've used at keeping the biters at bay, and it smells very nice with no synthetic/sharp chemical smell like some candles have. It's a very nice citrusy scent. Burning evenly so far (thanks to having two wicks) with no problems.

Using this on our screened porch which we do occasionally have mosquitos get into through the floor or different gaps. This seems to do a pretty good job of keeping the mosquitos away in that area. We have not yet seen the full onslaught of mosquitos that we get here in South Carolina so a true test is coming soon.This smells mostly like citronella, but the added essential oils do make this smell better than the pure citronella candles I have tried. It has a good long burn time as well. I do like the double wicks and the lid so I can close it up when I'm not using it.

Much like I mentioned in the title I could not believe the scent of these candles was amazing and you could smell it right out of the box no questions ass, being organic was a massive draw for me as I am always worried about what certain candles having them nowadays. God only knows some of the crazy stories you read online about candles and everything else in the air, so knowing that if these were organic was a plus. The big thing for me is when you look at the wax you can just see that these candles mean business and won’t burn out quickly. I have nothing but good things to say about these candles so far and I cannot wait until spring and somebody to use them.

These Cliganic Natural Mosquito Repellent Candles are great for outdoor season. Unfortunately my deck does not have a cover or screen, so sitting outside in warm weather sometimes can be tricky, and you get eaten alive. I have found that the two best defenses are candles such as this, along with a fan that creates a breeze.These candles are nice quality, all-natural candles made from bees wax and soy and natural oils. They include all the 'right' oils to help deter insects. The double wicks will help them burn evenly and not hollow out (or tunnel) as they burn. They do smell very strong, but I like to put these on the perimeter rails of the deck. They might be a bit too strong to sit right next to, but the smoke and off-gassing from them should be a great deterrent.The jars are very attractively designed, and close easily for storing. The description says they burn 18 hours, but the candles themselves say they burn 55 hours. I've not been able to use them enough to know for sure. And they are a bit pricey for candles, but worth it since they are plant-based and all natural. Highly recommended!

Great little candles! We always get mosquitos come about May and there are few ways to keep them from swarming you when you sit on the porch. That's why, when I saw these citronella candles, I had to try them.First of all, they seem super-dense and heavy when you get them, which is a good thing! I'm sure that's what helps them last so long. The fresh odor is strong; you can smell it right through the package. To me, the stronger the better because it'll keep the biters away.I particularly appreciate these because they are organic with a whole list of essential oils and still burn about 40 hours. We'll keep one out back, one out front.All in all, couldn't be happier with these. Recommended!

I love the tin canister of this candle so much that I will certainly be repurposing it for future use. What a cute design and packaging! I've used Cliganic products before (a hair conditioner) and really loved it, and the candle has been wonderful so far. The wax was not fully sealed to the metal canister and bumped around a bit during shipping, and the two wicks got a little smooshed. They both still work great though, no issues with the wicks, and I didn't need to trim them.This candle smells like citronella, but even better, with the additional essential oils added like rosemary and peppermint. It is an outdoor candle and great for the campsite. We used this on a backpacking trip and it did a great job keeping the mosquitos away while we ate dinner at night, but you need to be sitting very close to the candle for it to work fully.

This chubby double-wicked citronella candle is reminiscent of childhood summers. Cliganic, best known for their organic essential oils, added lemongrass and cedarwood to make the candle’s aroma even more delightful. As far as being a mosquito repellent, citronella candles are a mild deterrent at best. They may provide a small benefit in calm, enclosed areas, but they’re not a reliable solution for keeping mosquitoes away, especially in an outdoor setting. If you actually want to prevent mosquito bites, you’ll need to add other protective measures like fans, topicals, or wearing long sleeves. So enjoy this high quality candle for what it is - burn it for a summertime ambiance. But don’t have unrealistic expectations that it will actually repel the flying vampires.
