Yes, these are good circular needles for making hats. They are durable. I did have to use an emery board to keep them smooth after many uses on an old pair. I only wish they were more economical in price.

Sharp and just enough grab to keep stitches from falling off! My go-to needle brand. Do not confuse these with the previous Clover needles that had a rounded tip. The Takumi Clover line has sharp tips.

Slowly but surely replacing our older needles with bamboo. They are tough, look good, and have great feel to them. Highly recommend the whole bamboo line from Clover. Good quality at a good price. We have both the 16" and 24" and get more use out of the 24". Both are good though.

It took me a while to get accustomed to using circular needles, but persistence paid off. I love these needles, and highly recommend this brand of bamboo needles. The first couple of times I used these I was worried that the stitches would get twisted on the cords, but I found that just keeping an eye on them and keeping them from twisting by always making sure to keep the stitches hanging toward the center helped enormously. After only a couple of rows of knitting, all the stitches were fine and made no effort to twist.I have been so pleased with this brand of bamboo needles, that I have ordered a number of them, probably a dozen, in various sizes, generally 12" or 16" length.I am "home-schooling" myself in Fair Isle knitting, and the shetland yarns are pretty fine, even finer than sport-spun yarns, so I was pleased to find sizes 1, 2, and 3 in various lengths of this Clover bamboo needle. I am not knitting Fair Isle garments but smaller items, such as sachets to give out as Christmas presents, and knitted postcards for my personal use.For my regular yarn, I find the 4, 5 and 8 sizes to be perfect for my needs, as well. For my bulky woolen yarn, I use size 10 or 10.50.The bamboo is smooth and does not catch on the yarn as one knits. The cords are well attached to the bamboo, and do not curl up when I am knitting. All highly recommended.
