I prefer bamboo over metal needles, as the bamboo allows the yarn to slip nicely, but helps to hold it on the needles in between working times.

I have ordered several Clover needles in different sizes because they are a utilitarian type needle. They are lightweight, glide beautifully through yarn and have fairly sharp tips for wooden needles. Definitely worth adding to your collection.

Better than the cheaper sets because the bamboo is more smooth/slides better, which makes your knitting flow a little more even and efficient. I have yet to get used to metal needles.

works well for knitting hats, also knitted a scarf on it since I had to stop and start a lot and the stitches stay on better than straight needles.

I bought these bamboo needles to experiment with what type i wanted before buying a set; previously I was using a metal Boye. These are definitely lighter and less noisy. The bamboo doesn't allow for a smooth glide, its very much a material for slick yarns and probably not acrylic. The tips are sharper than the metal sets and tend to hurt my fingers and split the yarn more. The cast on was rough, because of the not sliding, and the first row was tricky, but the work just as well as the metal needles. I'm not throwing these aside, just maybe not purchasing a set unless i have a slicker yarn.

Used this product to knit a winter hat, loved to be able NOT to have to put sides together, as I have trouble making seem look right! This product made hat come out looking wonderful

this item arrived quickly and well packaged. made a hat with it the first day. have used clover bamboos for years. they are worth the money. the cheaper chinese ones are now raising their price and are not worth it. I just buy clover as i need them over time for each project that I do and over time have collected most of the sizes. have some that are at least 30 years old and are still great. They are super smooth yet grip a great quality for doing hats and socks.
