Product Description

Industrial PTFE-coated saw blades represent a great choice for the shop that keep their blades running all day, every day. This thin-kerf blade features a laser-cut heavy-gauge plate made of German Steel (46-48 Rockwell in hardness) to guarantee great cutting performance, also in saws with lots of power. The teeth are made of micrograin carbide brazed to the blade body through a special tri-metal metallic bond (copper-silver-copper) to last longer and deliver smooth cuts. In addition this tool features expansion slots to reduce noise, along with anti-vibration design. Blade’s Non-Stick PTFE Coating keeps the blade running cool, reduces pitch build-up and protects against corrosion. Manufactured following precise procedures and perfectly balanced, this quality blade is delivered in unique CMT plastic case.

From the Manufacturer

The CMT General blade has taken the place of the 50 tooth combination blades for discerning woodworkers to become the best all-around blade. CMT's General provides excellent results, whether cross cutting or ripping, on the table saw. The consistent distance between each ATB tooth in conjunction with less teeth than a standard blade (40 versus 50) and the 18 degree hook angle all add up to beautiful glue line rip cuts and smooth-as-glass crosscuts in both the top and bottom cut! Gives beautiful results in hardwoods, softwoods and plywood veneer. CAUTION: Our General blades are for table saw use only. NOTE: We recommend the CMT Combination Blades, series 215 and 216, for general purpose work with Radial Saws and Miter Boxes.

I’ve used CMT router bits for many years. This is my first time trying one of their saw blades. The first cuts in hickory have been great.

This is at least as good if not better than Freud Diablo and is quiet and affordable.

Exactly what I was looking for. I built a rubo work bench out of old oak timber, I had what I thought was a good blade in my under powered table saw and it was struggling with this oak put this baby in and it cut like butter.

Was using the freud/diablo blades for a few years and decided to try this. Amazing difference. I didn't realize how bad the diablos were or maybe the diablos are just fine and this is just super awesome. Tried some cross cuts and rips on some scrap 8/4 oak, 4/4 sapele, 4/4 hard maple, 8/4 soft maple, and 4/4 walnut. Cuts like butter.

CMT makes great blades. This one is no exception! I have yet to need to sharpen one of my CMT blades so they hold a sharpening very well. The blades produce very neat cuts with very little or no tear out.

I buy these for my company and they are the best out there currently. The guys in the carpentry shop ask for CMT by name. These blades last the longest, cut the cleanest, and have very competitive pricing. They seem expensive, but we have our blades sharpened regularly and if you are careful not to cut nails and break teeth a good blade will last a couple years. CMT is the best.
