the stock monkey seat mount bolts are guaranteed to fall out during normal riding. these make it easy, and stylish to prevent this from happening. also allows easier access to the battery without tools

There is one very massive design oversight with these seat bolts. The threaded studs have no threadlock and were not even finger tight. The studs should be reverse threaded to prevent the stud from unscrewing from the seat bolt and getting stuck inside the seat. I fixed that problem by adding some red threadlock and cranking down on the studs with an allen key.Other than that fit an finish is superb. the O-ring is a bit snug but does its job well and the machine work and anodized finish look oem. The stock Honda seat bolts are pretty annoying and these are an almost perfect solution after you correct the stud problem.

If you have a Monkey, this should be the first thing you change. These bolts replace the allen head seat bolts that are a pain to remove. Removing two allen head bolts that are deep, deep within the frame just to get to the battery is a pain in the neck. To alleviate this pain just replace those two bolts with these big bolts. Sure, you might not tighten them as much as the allen bolts, but they have o-rings that allow the bolt to be snug and not fall out. After installing them, getting the seat on and off the bike is really easy.

This product covers a factory hole for the seat mounting bolts with a nice Monkey logo on it and is beautifully made with the proper red color match. It also replaces the seat bolt as part of the plug and a machined grove and o ring to seal water out. Well planed and well built.

Poor design by Honda making it difficult to remove seat. These correct the issue by allowing you to hand tighten only and not requiring an Allen key to remove seat.
