I got this bit for a hinge mortising job and it works awesome. Very sharp cutting edges. I have mostly used cheap brazed carbide bits in the past so having such a sharp bit was a game changer. It moved through the maple door jamb like butter. Since the edges are quite sharp I was careful not to overheat the bit. Chip ejection was good and virtually no fuzz left on the corners. Highly recommended.

I have used several bits from this company and like the others, this one is great quality and very sharp.

This is a good bit. It cuts cleanly and easily even with hardwood and also with soft woods such a white pine, which I often find leaves fuzzy ends. I have other bits by Sharpro and am well satisfied with them. 5 Stars.

I would find this type of bit suitable for a machine that can help to provide a steady hand. Plunging goes great until you hit about a 1/4 the depth of the cutting length. Without stability, the flutes catch the side wall and can increase the size of the plunge. Not as well recommended for the handheld routers.

Reviewed: SHARPRO CNC Straight Router Bit 1/4 Shank, 22mm Cutting Length, 2 Flute End Mill, Tungsten Carbide Milling Cutter for Slotting Grooving Engraving, Applies to Wood, Plywood, MDF, PVC and Acrylic…Extremely sharp and well made. Packaged very well so it wont come to you chipped. The product is solid. The price could be a bit more competitive, at this price I would rather buy a domestic product.

I got this bit to use in my new Shapeoko CNC machine. Since I'm far from an expert on the different types of bits yet, I looked around on Google to educate myself a bit; specifically on the benefits of straight vs. spiral flutes in end mills. The consensus seems to be that straight-flute bits (as this one is) are better for quick cutting, whereas spiral-flute bits (whether up-cut, down-cut or compression bits) will leave a better finish.Beyond that, this bit is extremely sharp, and is indeed solid carbide as advertised. There are cutting edges extending across the tip of the bit, so it will be fine for plunge cuts. It has worked great in the test-cuts I've done.

I'm pretty new to using a CNC machine, but this bit seems to be a good one. I don't have the software for my CNC setup yet, so I installed this bit in the collet and ran the CNC from the touchscreen. I lowered it down until it started cutting and ran it around using the X and Y movement controls. It cut well from what I can see.I can hardly wait to see what I can cut and carve once I have the software setup.
