Installation consideration: 1.Tighten the mounting bolt to the fixing holes of the fork/frame body.
2.The brake cables will pass through the wire noodle in turn and through the rubber boot to fix the brake wire tube in position.
3.Fix the brake cable on the fixed bolt(not too tight), then install the brake arm, adjust the distance of the brake arms. When everything is right, the brake cable will be firmly secure.
Attention: 1.Please make sure your bike has a mounting hole centered on the top of the front fork or rear frame before purchasing.
2.Brake Lever Only used as brake levers, not fit for shifter.

I ended up having to replace the complete brake assembly due to my plastic spring tensioner breaking. This new set has a metal spring tensioner, so I think I'm golden on that part. Came with everything I needed and more. Installed and they work perfect.

God, I'm an idiot. After skipping a number of generic brands that sounded like they were made up by a random letter generator, I picked this one because it sounded like the bike brand I grew up with. Nope.Rather than put these on the shelf with my wife's Scny Ericcscn world phone that only works in the P.R.C., I installed the brakes anyway. Thankfully, the brakes work and use fewer plastic parts than my son's bike originally had that caused me to require a replacement in the first place, and all it took to install it was watching a couple of self-sourced YouTube videos and the patience to adjust them.I kind of wish this came with a couple of bike cable caps, but how else are they going to be able to sell a bag of 100 of them elsewhere?Where I grew up, 4/5 stars was a compliment, not an insult, so don't be afraid to buy these.

These are all metal. The bushing for the pin that keeps these brakes from slipping was plastic on the OEM cheap Mongoose MTB. They broke. These are much more solid. All the parts were included and the price was right. My son is back on the trails! Installation was typical for cantilever brakes.

Ok Brake but lacking hex bolt for cable lock. Should be same as brake pad wrench?

I ordered a set of these a few years ago just to see what they were like. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of materials and construction, and I have been using these as replacement brakesets ever since. The dual compound pads don't leave black marks on the rims and I haven't had a single customer complain about them. I get a lot of repeat business, so I've had bikes with these brakes come in for other repairs, and they hold up very well.

Brake units are all metal and very high quality for the price. On the other hand, the levers, while also all-metal, lack an internal lever unit - the cable joins the hand lever directly (see picture). Moreover, they appear crudely made even at this price point with lots of vertical play. Would not buy again and will replace the levers with better units.

The original brakes on my sons bike became a real pain to adjust and keep adjusted. Not quite sure what the deal was? I purchased these as a replacement. Glad I did. They work great and good stopping power, adjustment is solid and holds. If you know what you're doing and have some experience with bike repair, shouldn't take you long at all. Extremely happy with the performance and the price is great. A good buy. If you are looking for a middle of the road break set, I would get them.

Nice looking calipers that are solid when installed. Crisp brake feel and no sponginess.If your bicycle has stamped steel calipers, they tend to howl when braking because they flex. A set of these will be 100x better.Comes with the pads and bolts making install a breeze.
