This item is hard to find in brick-and-mortar stores, so I was glad to see it on Amazon. The zip kit it comes in floats, so that was nice as well.

It feels like really cheap plastic but as long as it works if I ever need it, it will be well worth the money and won't really care about the plastic gun part.

I've been ripped off. Listing says includes 4 hand held flares and 2 smoke flares. What was sent was the gun with 6 shells, a signal mirror, a whistle and a case for $90 bucks.Update. I received a fast response from the vendor who explanation that the add was incorrect and they have been trying to get Amazon to correct it for some time. They offered a credit for the absent flares which i feel was reasonable. Based on the product nd their customer service I would be happy to business with them again.

Comes with everything in photo. Does not include the (4) hand-held red flares nor (2) hand-held orange smoke flares that are listed under Features & Details.I contacted the vendor who state they have been trying to get Amazon to correct the mistake...Seems like a good price for what you get though. No returns on this item either.Kit delivered March 2022, flares expire June 2025, happy with that. You can buy the kit that does include the hand-held flares/smoke markers at a well known marine store for $99 on sale until 4/4/2022.

Building my survival kit. Inexpensive flare gun kit, but it is made of plastic, so it can break easier than aluminum. Hopefully I’ll never need to use it, so why spend hundreds on the more expensive metal made ones.
