Got this for the guys when we do our poker and cigar night. Really enjoy the different flavors the smoke adds. Adding old fashions to the night makes it better. Easy instructions to follow.

I tried a smoked Manhattan for the first time at a steakhouse a few weeks ago and I've been obsessed with it ever since. I purchased this on a whim a couple weeks ago on the off chance I could successfully make it at home and I'm impressed! It's surprisingly simple to use and the end result is surprisingly good. Very happy with purchase and definitely recommend.

What a great addition to my home bar! I always enjoy ordering a "smoked old fashion" while out to dinner. Since I make these at home, I thought this would be a great way to recreate them, and I was right!! As a note - you need to get butane for the torch - it doesn't come with it, but is easy enough to find, and the torch is easy enough to load. You get 6 different wood chips to smoke with. I initially thought how different could the wood make the smoke....but I'm a believer! I "tested" my first smoke using pear wood. It is very easy - add some chips to one of the two metal nets that fit in the smoker, top your glass with it, use the torch to light the chips and start a slight burn, add the top - which "smothers" the chips and the smoke starts. As I lifted the smoker off the glass - a nice plume of smoke lifted with it, and remaining smoke in the glass. As I took a sip, a hint of pear was in the smoke! I tried this in an old fashion that I paired with plum bitters. The pear smoke to plum flavor was fantastic. So I decided to try another - in which I used the apple wood (really trying to see if I could notice a difference). And sure enough, on this drink - the hint of apple came through in the smoke. I especially like this set as it doesn't overpower your drink, or create a huge smoke screen - It adds a beautiful show of smoke, and allows the flavor to resonate while you enjoy your cocktail. I have to say though...having this at home makes it very tough to want to order at restaurants now....when my home cocktails are much more delicious!! And to note - the set comes with a cute spoon that helps add a cherry or two to your drink or to stir it before adding the smoke, and a small pipe cleaner to help keep the metal net and smoker holes clean after each use.
