Instructions

"I'm disappointed. The instructions say to use a 4:1 water-to-coffee ratio for cold brew. Since the jug holds 2 liters, I expected to be able to use 500g of coffee. But the filter is way too small – it only holds 38g! It seems like the designer never actually tested this product.

I don't like strong coffee . you can use regular coffee grounds in this.makes enough for 3days for me. And I use a24oz cup, I have more space on my counter since I don't use regular coffee maker now. There is a little sedamint in the last cup,but not much.I love it!

This has quickly become my favorite iced coffee maker. Why, because it's plastic, not this heavy glass like my others. It's slimmer in design with allows a better grip, not slick like glass. The filter has a cap on it, so there's no way you get grounds mixed in with your brew. You can use it as a water bottle with the inserted straw. Or you can use it with the regular pour spout or the pump cap. And in this heat, nothing beats a cold cup of coffee in the morning. Add your coffee, fill it with water, put it in the fridge, when you wake up, coffee's ready. The pictures show me using it for the first time, so the coffee hasn't had enough time to brew properly. But what I really wanted to do was put the leak proof claim to the test and as the picture will show, it is indeed leak proof. As I said it's plastic, so you don't have to worry about taking it out of the house with you. Because it's plastic it weighs next to nothing compared to my glass units. And when you're still half asleep reaching for your pitcher, you'll appreciate being able to pick it up without fear of it slipping and breaking. So if you're looking to switch up and cool down, this is an easy recommendation. Thank you.

This cold brew jug is a great product! Works and looks just as advertised. And makes yummy coffee lol. Great price. No leaking, perfect size, and very easy to clean!

I have been pleasantly surprised by this product. I was skeptical at first being that it is made of plastic. I'm afraid over time it could stain from using coffee.However, after cleaning it for the first few uses, I can see it comes very clean every time. The included filter is very easy to clean as well and keeps the coffee ground inside without seeping into the coffee. I love this as other brewers I've used have had issues with that!The taste of my coffee has been excellent after 12-24 hours of sitting in the refrigerator. I have left the grounds in while pouring it, but you could easily take the filter out and just use it as a pitcher. I only leave them in because I drink coffee like water...and go through a lot of it. This makes me a few tall glasses of coffee before I need to clean and refill.The included straw/cap is a nice to have thing...but I probably won't ever use it. Seems strange to have a device this big for coffee on the go. However, if you are going on a trip, then I could definitely see the use of being able to just drink this in a car.Over all, I'm very pleased and definitely would recommend this brewer!

I was excited to use this cold brew maker because we wanted to save money on purchasing premade cold brew, and wanted to use our own coffee blend. The pitcher comes with instructions on assembling, and there are different pieces to offer pouring options, including a straw poor top which makes for easy serving.The issue I have this this cold brew maker is the size of the filter that's meant to hold the coffee grounds. It holds about 2/3rds of a cup, which, if following an average strength ratio for cold brew, doesn't allow the grounds to actually sit in the water. If the water is filled to the top, you will have a very weak cold brew. If this is to your liking, you'll be fine! If you like a stronger cold brew (like most) you'll have to do what we did. Pour the grounds directing into the jug without using the filter, and pour it over a sieve, cheesecloth, or coffee filter for each cup.All of the parts were well functioning aside from the size of the filter, which should be much wider to accommodate enough coffee to fill the jug completely. But other than that, there is a locking mechanism on the lid that helps to prevent and spills, and the lid securely screws onto the top with no issue. I do wish there were some sort of handle on the side of the jug, if you have smaller hands, it's a bit difficult to grip from the side to pour. There is a handle on the top to help with this, but I don't trust any handle like that, even though it seems sturdy.Overall, if you like a weaker cold brew, this might work for you to make a small batch, but I'd look elsewhere if you need a stronger brew, or like to make concentrate. It's easy to take apart and clean, and the pieces are dishwasher safe in the top rack, so it's relatively easy to clean.

Hubby likes cold brew and he says this was one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve given him. Easy to clean too.
