I do really love fresh pasta. What I make is nothing fancy, just basic eggs, oil, flour, water, and salt, with maybe some herbs or pureed spinach thrown in or the eggs taken out. The pasta attachment for my stand mixer takes care of the cutting. I had an old fixed arm rack, but it got broken and it took up a lot of cabinet real estate anyway, so I hadn't replaced it. I had been draping noodles over the backs of chairs, the edge of the sink, the edges of the counters, etc., to dry, which is just a huge mess when I'm done. This little rack is GREAT!! It has a dowel with a wooden ball on the end to catch the noodles as they come out of the pasta attachment, then I slide the dowel along the arms on the pasta rack and transfer the noodles to it. I put the rack on a large dish towel, so when a few strands inevitably break after drying, I can just pick the towel up and shake it into the trash. Then when I'm done, the wing braces that hold it upright fold underneath the bottom, the two hinged beams on the top fold down to put the arms under them, and it fits along the side of my cabinet by my pots and pans and takes up almost no space at all. This is a very clever, very handy little rack.

This collapsible pasta drying rack from the Talentree Store is made from wood, and the product pages says it: eliminates the hassle of constant assembly and teardown. Okay, but you do have to partially dissemble it for storage. (How often is up to you.) In order to "collapse" it you have to remove the top rails from the stanchions, and rotate the top rails 90 degrees, and then insert the four stanchions into holes in the rails. It's kind of like dissembling and reassembling to me. Thus the deduction of a star. The rest is well designed. I wouldn't call it elegant and stylish though, to me it is rustic, which I prefer.Collapsible Pasta Drying Rack, Wood Pasta Dryer Hanger Rack, Spaghetti Noodle Drying Hanging Rack Stand with 12 Bars and Transfer Wand, Foldable for Easy StorageVisit

Be prepared to assemble, the instructions are not in the box, you must look them up on the purchasing link. It goes together fairly easily with no tools. A you do have to disassemble two pieces to fold it up for storage, so don’t use a rubber mallet to assemble, because it will make it even harder to take back apart. It took a bit of controlled strength to get it back apart for folding storage. It’s good size and sturdy enough when in use. Overall isn’t that impressive but it will get the job done.

This stand arrived fully disassembled. It was well-packed. I was impressed by the quality control and the care with which the pieces were made. The holes and the sticks match up very snugly. The design of the unit is such that there are two sets of holes on the top frame parts. The drying sticks easily go into the framing parts; the thicker vertical support sticks fit more tightly into the top frame parts, so snugly that it is very challenging to put the two together.Unfortunately, the way the system is designed, the way it is supposed to fold is to remove the top frame pieces off of the vertical sticks and then to put those sticks into the other set of holes. However, because the vertical sticks fit so snugly into the top framing pieces, this is not an easy task.I think that because the smaller drying sticks fit more easily into the top framing pieces, it is easier to put all of them in and take all of them out every time, even if this is not as convenient as just putting in two sticks. For this reason, I docked a star. All that being said, this is a high quality pasta drying rack. It is well-made and sturdy once assembled.

Great little pasta rack. A friend and I decided to start making our own pasta, and so I ordered this rack to dry the pasta on. We haven't actually made pasta yet, but the rack packs up nice and small and should work great...whenever we actually get around to making the pasta.

This is a pasta drying rack with 12 bars. It is all wood and holds a lot of pasta. I got this for when I start to make my own pasta it will be ready to go. This pasta rack had no instructions and it will take me a while to figure out how to assemble it. It is made well and good quality wood.

This is pretty sturdy but does take up quite a bit of space especially when pulled out to use. It does work nicely and holds a good amount of noodles but it’s a bit tedious to get taken apart to put the sides down to store. For now it works and I appreciate the unfinished wood aspect of it, however I may look for something that folds down more easily. If you have issues with hand strength or neuropathy like I do, this may be a bit of a challenge to use if you want to undo the section that holds the noodles for storing purposes.
