The beanie is fine for what it is but it's a little too big for my wanting. It's pretty thick for those cold days. I guess that's the risk you run when you can't actually see the item and try it on. But overall it's a good warm beanie.

I have several variations of these Columbia Whirlibird hats. The soft fabric is very comfortable on my shaved head. Great for every day indoor and outdoor use. Keeps head warm down to about 20 or 25 degF with light wind.

I purchased an expensive wool beanie and made the mistake of putting it in the dryer. Now it is ruined. Instead I picked up this cheaper, easier to care for beanie from Colombia. I really love their winter stuff. I had a Colombia winter jacket that lasted me for decades through extremely tough use. I just received this hat in the mail and initially I am very happy with this hat purchase. This hat doesn't have an internal liner, I am not complaining about it. I cant believe not a single person uploaded a photo of them wearing it.
