This commercial ice make works well to produce large amounts of ice in a short amount of time. The large capacity is great for home use. The 25-pound ice bin allows for a good amount of ice storage, so you won't need to constantly refill the bin or worry about running out of ice. The size of ice is standard cubed ice which good for drinks or making slushed drinks.

Nice compact size unit and seems to have no issues making ice. The only problem is that the ice comes out in sheets of cubes and you have to find a way to break them up if you want to put them into glasses... It's fine if you are just throwing them into ice chests but a pain if you want to use the ice for glasses. Was told by seller “to just break them up with an ice scoop”. That doesn’t work. 1) there isn’t enough room in the unit to do that. 2) it would not break them into small enough cubes to put in glasses. We have to transfer the sheets into bags and then bash the bags on the floor and THEN we can put smaller cubes in glasses.

Let me begin with the negative, the stainless steel body is covered in a protective foil. On most appliances the foil comes off in one easy pull but here it took me over an hour to remove the stretchy film in small pieces plus I had to remove the top of the unit to get some small pieces out that were stuck behind the screws.Setting up the ice maker is a breeze if a water line is within reach six or so feet. Melted ice is not being recycled, it must be able to flow unobstructed into some sort of drain. A pump basin would work but is an extra expense. I was able to set the ice maker up in the pantry with easy access to a water line and drain in the basement. The machine comes with a good instruction pamphlet and it also has a set of basic instructions printed on the front of the unit which makes quick adjustments easy. The fresh water flows into a small basin inside the unit from where it is pumped over the vertically installed frozen mold. After the cycle is completed the ice drops down into the holding bin that is cold but not below freezing, the ice will eventually melt and the water must be able to freely drain away. I believe the reason the water can't be recycled has to do with food safety in a commercial environment. The thickness of the ice cubes is fully programmable, smaller ice cubes seem to be better for what I use them for. The blue light inside the ice bin can be turned on and off as required and is a nice touch. To save energy the machine can be programmed to go into standby mode after hours and produce ice only during certain hours during the day, if desired.

Really heavy duty to be useful for home or as a professional ice maker . Great to be able to make ice available 24/7 . Love the result . It is medium size , not too big and can be accommodated in an average sized kitchen . Very fast . Very easy to clean . It is heavy not to move around . It is my first ice maker and I love it. Very good material and durability. Even packaging is ok. Recommend

My only complaint is that I didn’t get one sooner! It definitely produces a lot of ice and is very convenient in size! I’m definitely satisfied with this purchase
