It does not weight a lot and it is very compact which is the main two reason I bought it. But, it is annoying that I have to strap my bike at a particular angle or else the lock will not connect and lock. Besides that the other downside is that the straps are cheap. As I was trying to install my bike holder onto my bike one of the plastic straps snapped.

This lock is so flexible and you can put any where and after use you can fold it like a small block. My new bike got the protection and I loved it.

The reliability of the lock is hard to evaluate due to the actual length of it. The product description doesn't make it easy to find either. I returned this for something similar that was longer and allows me to protect most expensive asset of the ebike - the frame.

Being the organizer and leader of a large social bicycle club here in Fort Lauderdale with over 1475 members and growing daily, the safety, health and well-being of our riders is always priority one. The same goes for our mounts as well. It is discussed before every slow roll. And one thing all my members know about me is that I love customization and personalization. And if it serves both safety and customization then roll on I say! My local bike shop could tell you how much they make from our patronage. And not just for technical stuff but for lots of other fun stuff as well, gadgets, toys and accessories are always welcome. All efforts are made to keep everyone healthy. The next major concern is keeping everyone's mounts safe and secure. All efforts are made to protect all our wheels from damage or theft. Here is where we address the Monotre Upgraded Bicycle Folding Lock with a set of two keys included. Now, we have all seen these types of folding locks before. I have in the past passed on this type of lock for no particular reason other than already having chain locks. This has given me the chance to see what's up with it. The first thing I noted was the very heavy weight in my hand. Talk about heft! Now I am not so into my craft that I keep every accessory weighed and worried over. I don't care about some extra ounces. This thing is heavy. But in this case weight equals worth. The heft has everything to do with strength this time. It also includes a very nice holster that can be attached to a water bottle mount on the bike if you like. Overall it's very attractive. This particular lock has a smaller circumference than many. The only negative is the fact that this type of lock has only linear movement. It cannot be wrapped around anything. It doesn't have chain like flexibility but it will last forever. As long as a thief doesn't know to cheat the keylock you should be "safe". But Boy, you're going to carry that weight, carry that weight a long time...And as always remember:Ride Safe, Ride Strong, Ride Happy!!
